not good for controlling contamination but it won't necessarily ruin it
if you're talking about a little bit I think it's fine

Make sure its a HEPA filter not any normal air filter, IMO i wouldn't mess with HEPA filters UNLESS you're going to make a flow hood which are kinda expensive and would require a certain level of skill to make one, I'd suggest you to just make sure your working place has the windows/AC closed, and also makes sure your SAB is sealed. Remember SABs are not sterile but are still... hence the name

RogerRabbit said: Build a still air box. Most people who have built positive pressure ones don't use them for long. The main reason being the turbulence created in the glove box causes more skin cells and other contaminants from the operator's hands to be blown into the sterile work.
A laminar flow hood is best, and a still air box second best, but harder to work with. RR
As for agar i just use Pastywhyte's tek http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/19208976/fpart/1/vc/1
We all get some contaminants from time to time, just don't worry about it, it all depends on luck sometimes, I've done things in non sterile conditions and still got away with it, and also done things in really sterile conditions and got contams lol
live the life brotha.

SAB
Says you need "sterile oxygen" but I can't imagine a tank of oxygen having much in it besides oxygen...

Sigma Aldrich has something similar but I'm sure it's chemical resistant.
And it's a plastic bag with gloves, I think (still not hard to make).
