Insomnia must be terrible. When I worked night-shifts I had a crooked sleep schedule but no more than that. I am assuming the lack of sleep makes you just as tired as everybody else but without the eventual release of actual sleeping?
@ Makiaveli
Dont bitch about your mom. Its her house and her rules. If you dont like it man the fuck up and move out
A lack of proper sleep (sleep deprivation) is literally able to drive people insane. Not a little off, but the insane you imagine when someone tells you about an insane killer with delusional ideas.
Our brains depend on sleep, to an extent few ever really realize. Sleep is extremely important in our functioning and thought processes.
I've seen the deep side of sleep deprivation and it is not pretty. There's a fake report out there on the soviets studying sleep deprivation and how the subjects eventually went insane. It may not of happened, but it's not really far off the mark.
I can't stress this enough. A lack of sleep, can drive people insane. If you Google, you'll find places that both support and dispute this, having been there myself, I know it to be real. It probably depends on the individual, I'm not the most grounded with sleep, but total lack of it over long periods has driven me to extremes that are far beyond "out of character" for me. Rationality goes away. Paranoia and all kinds of weird shit starts setting in. That's not even getting to the more physical effects.
Insomnia is a bitch, I honestly wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I probably have a level more on the extreme side of things. I also have a more extreme than usual anxiety issue. I don't really doubt the two are linked. I dunno which causes which, or which is really just more severe making the other more severe.
If you wanna know what sleep deprivation is like (beyond just forcing yourself through it) you can read about it or watch a bunch of good documentaries on it.
Lack of sleep won't kill us right away like an absence of oxygen, but it's pretty much as vital to keep us functioning.

My insomnia was mental and physical. Insomnia is a side effect of something much larger: a lackluster life on repeat, sedentary lifestyle with garbage as your main diet and TV/PC as your main exercise, or just drinking too much coffee and taking too many stimulants.
Are you sure you've actually properly ruled these out as factors?

Refer back to "have you tried".
GHB is the only new idea I've been thrown in years.
Everybody and their mother has some solution to it and always love to push it around like they have the miracle cure.
As hard as it is to believe for some people, true insomnia does exist. There are those of us out there who simply cannot sleep, no matter what variable you decide to target.
I mean I get it, the term insomnia is throw around so much these days, most people don't even understand what the fuck it is to begin with. These days it's basically equated to some late teen/early 20's person who likes to stay up til 3am and sleep til 11. That is not fucking insomnia.

lol wut, your an idiot it has nothing to do with rules, i asked her to help me and instead she's doing the opposite, before i asked it was a complete non issue, its just a bitch being a bitch you don't like facts then don't talk about her or the situation because im the one living it im the only one with the facts. your just parroting some dumb shit you've heard 100 times on the internet and it doesn't even apply to what i said, its not a dam rule, she didn't give 2 shits about me or my sleep schedule, i asked for help, and she did the exact opposite just to be a bitch like she always does

Someone with insomnia will often take 30 minutes or more to fall asleep
also sounds like insomnia is actually a pretty broad term, i have everything on that list except the headaches. altho the awakening early part is mostly when im sleeping during the day and due to noises like garbage trucks n shit, but i do also get it during one of my flip cycles too unreleated to noise but other than that mostly non issue.

Take these together at the same time 30 minutes before bed:
- L-Tryptophan - Melatonin
----- If they don't work, you will need to take like a box of Valerian, this will get you to sleep. Take enough Valerian = same as benzo.
$3-5 for 60 pills Take them all, it will work like a benzo pill (buy one with Valerian only in it)

ive had insomnia, and it sucks bad. Hate it. Screws up my whole sleeep schedule.
Ive found that if i have aan uneventful, easy day, with sleeping in, i get insomnia.
The best non-drug cure ive found for insomnia is having a exhuasting day, either physically or mentally, or both.
Having an exhausating day makes sleep really easy, because u basically have no choice but too sleep, cause u are so mentally or physically (or both) spent, u need the sleep immediately. Its not easy to do everyday, especially since u adapt to challenging situations over time, but its possible.
Having a demanding job, either physically or mentally, or doing a demanding physical work-out are two great things for sleep. Dont drink coffee or energy drinks, especially after noon, those drinks will prevent sleep.
Also, doing something mentally challenging thru the whole day, such as driving all day, can help with sleep.
As for drugs, ive found that beers make me sleep, espeically wheat beers. drink a couple (not too much), should help with sleep.
Ive also heard a shot of pure butter helps with sleep. I think big calorie meals in general make you sleepy.
Eat turkey at night.
Of course theres melatonin and Ambien, but use those as a last resort only.

If your insomnia is that bad and it's stopping you from living life to the max, you have nothing to lose and gotta go to last resorts, like strong hypnotics, like opiates, etc

After a day of lots of physical exercise, like skiing or whatever, it is practically impossible to stay awake. People need to change their habits. Eat better, stop drinking coffee, stop playing on your computer with a bright screen until midnight.
Your other option is to get loaded up on addictive drugs and end up with worse insomnia.
You need to make lifestyle changes.

Couldn't a sleep for 3 fucking days and have no idea why, no matter what I tied couldn't get to sleep it was nuts, by the third day I felt like a different person in a different reality.

Yeah, sleeep depravation is weird.
It kinds feels like youre still awake while at the same time still dreaming. Very strange.
It can also be vary dangerous if u are driving while sleep deprived.

I've made it to six days awake without one second of sleep several times.
One time on the fifth day awake I thought a bunch of people were coming over for a party and I had my classmates over and we were smoking meth shards in my flower garden. Talking to them was as real as talking to a normal person. Sometimes when I would go to grab the meth pipe it would vanish and they would push meth down the vines of the bushes and I would try to catch the meth dew in my hands. Those people were obviously never there and I found out the next day by messaging those specific people on Facebook.
The floor was covered with black pencil width worms moving quickly and it was cool as hell to see. Outside there would be cars pulling up to my drive way and I would go to greet them and nobody would be there and it didn't seem to not make sense to me. My piss was full of little sea monkeys and outside those worms looked like big snakes. There was lots of other stuff happening like I would see needles full of meth or heroin on the table and try to grab them and they would disappear.
That binge though I had literally smoked, injected and snorted over 2.5 grams of meth and had been stabbed and had a ton of fucked up shit happen.
Other times though I had even made it to six days awake. The best I had ever felt in my life was on the fifth day of a binge and I did a massive shot where I emptied out an entire baggy which had at least 300mg of meth in it and just slammed it down all at once.
I did go all the way to seven days awake with a couple hours of sleep on the sixth. At the end of the seventh I would have undercover cops snapping pictures of me and the room would flash and I would hear tons and tons of voices and walkie talkies and it was fucking insane.
The last month of my use I only slept ten days out of the entire month. I went hella crazy and am glad my meth days are behind me.
None of this seems real to me anymore being sober it really does feel like a messed up dream that never happened.

insomnia is a bitch. I've had issues with it since I was a little kid. Right now I'm dealing with health issues and complications of an auto-immune disorder and I've been going through periods of extreme fatigue, but when it clears up I seem to go right back to insomnia. It really sucks.
All the sleeping pills will eventually stop working over time, if they work to begin with. I would still explore other medications(both otc and natural as well as maybe a different prescription) but try and use that stuff on a short term basis, look up sleep hygiene and habits, and focus primarily on improving that, and use any medications as a tool to help implicate changes.
The only thing that will actually set me right is forcing myself to stay up until 9pm at the earliest, sometimes it means more than one day of powering through sleep deprivation - but naps will always make everything worse for me. It's easier said, than done, of course, and I my sleep cycle never seems to stay on the wagon very long so I feel like I'm constantly correcting it.
Insomnia sucks. Good luck.
