:awepreciation:

Beautiful.

How do you keep the beetles off of them? I never really had trouble with beetles at our last place but our new place is killing plants. But this plant in particular.

Damn son, that is a giant! I have some awesome varieties of Hibiscus, but I have yet to plant them:sad:
One variety has leaves just like Cannabis, and one has huge burgundy blooms the size,or slightly bigger than the flower you posted.
Maybe one of these days,I'll get to grow them out.

They're japonese beetles and the only way to get rid of them is to either rig your place with traps a good ways away from the plants you're trying to protect so as not to draw them in with the scent or you have to spray. Spectricide has worked well for me.

Orange-ish flower that hummingbirds love.

EDIT: Impatiens capensis is the plant name

I have no idea what the name is. I have limited internet access and have to run to work soon here.... It grows around here like a weed. It seems to like wet areas with good sun light. I see all sorts of hummingbirds around here and they seem to love this plant.

If I figure out the name, I'll post it here.

EDIT: Just checked, and I'm in zone 7a, as well.

Your unidentified flower looks like it might be a type of Hydrangea. Anybody else think so?

The Plumeria flowers there are absolutely amazing! The colors on there are just beautiful, and the shape is just downright sexy

Here's the orange flowers cousin. The Impatiens pallida. You can see the orange ones in the background.

It's interesting to note the difference in the shape of the flower. This one mainly attracts bees as pollinators, and not the hummingbirds. This one is also noticeably less populated, at least where I am currently.

Heavenly blue porn has started !!!

7.5 cm diameter !

My MG bush has become so huge that I can't see easily the other side. I hope it's not too late for the fruits to mature. The amount of flowers is just outstanding. When it will be in full bloom we won't be able to see the leaves anymore hehe.

The full bush :
