Does anyone else have difficulty doing G2G's with Spawn bags in a glovebox?

I recently tried to do my first G2G in my glovebox with a spawn bag. It was difficult because there isn't enough vertical height, meaning I can't easily pour the contents of the jar into the bag without the jar hitting the ceiling of the box. Also, it was difficult for me to inflate the bag inside the glovebox (I've been told that spawn bags need a large plenum of air) due to vertical space restrictions as well. I hope that it colonizes fast, considering I added an entire jar to the bag, but proper sterile technique was certainly difficult inside the glovebox.

that plenum u have is ok. in an SAB, u don't want to actively try and create a bigger plenum. that entails air movement and displacement, disturbing the "still" in "SAB"
i used an empty mono with holes taped on bottom, and SAB upside down on top of that.
it was hard.
check out muds SAB and Franks. both are spacious.
bags are tricky. lots of spawn. can be lots of good times. can be lots of bad times. SAB with lots of height…could be some good times. SAB with low over head…could be lots of bad times.
roll of the dice. snake eyes. ghost face. 1st flush jitters. we wait and see.

Yeah, I'm actually considering building another SAB that has more overhead height. It's just too restrictive, even when doing G2G's with jars. I find that on the last two or three transfers, the donor jar bumps into the lid of the SAB since I have to tilt it more to get the last little bit of grain to fall into the receiving jar.

been seeing this and recently went back to jars because of it.
(a little) more permanently I will simply modify my current 105qt with an added 66qt on top. It will probably look thrown together but my first sab was the presto PC box with saran wrap so I say... whatever works.
permanent solution is building a flowhood if using bags consistently. Because even with the expanded sab maybe 4 bags at a time max being cramped about it. Just gonna bottle neck again so may as well make the hood if you got the ambition to stick with bags.
said by someone who is worn thin on bags in sabs with plans to make a hood so..
but lastly I will say, view transcendinglife's g2g in a SAB video and look at the amount of contact his donor/receiving jar make.

Watch RR's video on innoculating spawn bags, in front of his 12" tall hood he cant stand the bag up vertical to pour master jar in, he has to angle it. Its tricky but definitely a way to G2G into spawn bag in shorter SABs

any reason why we arent cutting spawn bags to size before sterilization?

Trying to G2G bags in a still air box just sounds like too much work. I would just up your game and make some LI/LC/GLC to inoculate those bags. You can execute the steps to make such inoculant very well in an airbox, and injecting them into the bags and taping them up requires no skill at all. You may be able to get cornmeal LI up into a 14g syringe, I need to try it. Almost certainly with a blended BRF plate.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

@Blueberry if you get the right sized bag there should be a need to cut the bag. For monotubs(4-6qts): medium
