ID Request. (I think Deer Shield?)

I found this guy in someone's lawn. It's pileus is peeling on its own accord (from handling, having in a bag etc.). It seems to peel all the way as opposed to a bit then tearing like many mushrooms. It has no smell that I can detect. Gills unattached with the gills bending down as they reach toward the stipe. If you shake it the cap bobbles. I think it's the Fawn or Deer Shield (Pluteus cervinus) but def. not certain. And some nice pics:

Cool, I'll give it a try and let you know. There's very few things I really dislike, and most are some form of sweets.
What makes me nervous about this mushroom is that when I search it on google images the pics online all look quite different from one another. Sometimes gills are pink sometimes white (maybe just sporey?), sometimes a lot of grains of color on stipe, sometimes a big cirdular discolored spot in middle of cap, sometimes an umbo? wtf?
I know appearance is variable but seriously look at this pic compared to my mushroom!

Also I found this in grass in a yard in suburbs, didn't seem close to a tree and guides say its saprotrophic?

Sometimes there are remnants of where a tree used to be,and the mushrooms appear to be growing from the grass, has happened to me many a times.
