I've been in a funky place healthwise and have committed a lot of time to researching health as a function of lifestyle choices, and I've come to realize that it's pretty much impossible to take a substance that alters your neurology (or any part of your physiology for that matter) without downstream health effects. Conventional thinking is that you can isolate parts of human physiology as being distinct entities with minimal influence on eachother but it's just false. Every part of the body is connected in every way imaginable. I couldn't give you specifics on LSD but if i were to think about potential health complications I would start with considering the effects that LSD has on gastrointestinal function. GI side effects are common with hallucinogens. Alterations here could have influence on nutrient status, bowel motility and ultimately the microbial ecology which could in turn lead to metabolic endotoxemia -> diabetes/liver disease/cardiovascular disease/and other inflammatory disorders. Then I would consider the effect that altered neurological function has on the endocrine system, muscular system (which may even tie back to bowel motility), and immune function.

That said there is little to no research making these direct associations and there's no reason to think that reasonable use of psychedelics would predispose one to these issues. Many daily exposures to industrial chemicals and foods accomplish the same things and are probably more damning to your physiology than tripping once or twice a month. The honest truth is that pretty much everything we do outside of the context of paleolithic living (ie restricted diet, adhering to natural biorhythms, the right amount of exercise, right amount of sunlight, etc) has some deleterious effect on homeostasis and these can range from asymptomatic to life threatening over time. They are subtle in most cases and for that reason it's hard to directly measure health impacts of individual substances in many cases.

I only posted this as an example of how these questions can be approached though. As i said, I wouldn't worry about it. Just don't have any illusions about the reality of the matter should you ever find yourself at a point in time where your consumption is either really high, or health problems arise that warrant the reconsideration of drug use. That said I have health problems out the ass and drugs have little perceivable impact especially compared to diet. Of course, that may not be true for another person with another disease.

The only physical concern that's really been documented to my knowledge is the effect of 5-ht2b agonists on heart valve overgrowth. But again, this is the result of chronic exposure and not at all common even then

So I hope I didn't confuse you. But I myself hate oversimplification of complex matters which runs rampant in conventional medical advice. Nothing about biology is simple and nothing doesn't have an impact. But on the scale of toxic bullshit we ingest daily, I would put most occasional drug encounters near the bottom of the list of concerns, particularly psychedelics

Again it's all a thing of balance. Taking drugs daily may negate the effects of eating healthy  but I'm sure that's not what you meant
