How should i sterilize my vermiculite b4 i roll my cakes in it after dunking?

Easiest way is to put some moist vermiculite (not necessarely saturated, just moist) in a plastic microwable container.
Nuke for 7-8 minutes. Open the container and stir a little. Nuke for another 7-8 minutes and let cool.
Once it's at room temp, it's ready to use.
Personnaly, I prefer loading some quart jars and pressure cook em.. especially since I used by mistake a non microwable plastic container that made a fuckin liquid plastic mess in my microwave.

Yeah I used a ceramic bowl and that shattered in my microwave after 4.5 minutes.

PC if you have one. Put in jars and boil in water for hour like the PF tek way if you don't have a pc

i microwave for only a minute with dry verm. never had a problem to date.

I don't take chances when I did cakes, before cases, I put field moist verm in nuker for 15 minutes on 800 watts. wasn't anything going to live after that.

All ya really need to do is microwave it. The best way is to mix it up just a little bit more moist than it needs to be, and nuke it until you see steam. Stir it up, then nuke again till ya see steam. You'll want to stir it yet again before you apply it, but let it cool in the microwave. It's VERY important to sterilize the tools you use, I recommend a fork, for stirring and applying the casing layer. Put the fork in boiling water for 5-10 minutes, take it out and place it in a clean towel.
If you use a properly made casing layer as your roll substrate, that works fine as well. The only problem with microwaving it is that it's soemwhat wet, and thus doesn't cling as well to the wet cakes. Just fuck with it and you'll get it right

well i just got done sterilizing my verm... i put in the microwave for 15 minutes moist, then let cool fro 5 minutes, then stirred with a sterile fork and put back in the microwave for 5 minutes, then let cool for another 5 minutes... i think that should be pretty good
