After first flush

Ok I'm helping my friend use the Internet because he is slow at typing, my friends first grow here, cube cambo, my friend had a decent first flush and now waiting for the second. My friend can see the pins forming, but they haven't grown for 2 days now. My friend feels like his substrate (verm, coco coir, and coffee grounds) might have a contam. I've read that usually yellow spots are piss, and my friend had small spots of this piss before his first flush, but now it looks like the whole thing is getting a yellow tint. Here's 3 pics of his tub, can anyone tell him what could be wrong? He fans and mists regularly, maybe he is misting too much. He said he also read that he was supposed to give the substrate a drink, so he poured a coffee mugs worth of water on it slowly while it absorbed the water. Should he pour more water on it? My friend is torn between the two. He doesnt want it to be dehydrated and yellow because it's dying, and he dosen't want it to be too wet and fighting off bacteria. He removed the tray with the sub from the whole mono tub, and cleaned the entire mono tub with a bleach/water solution.

Are there holes in that mono? I don't see any.
Don't fan your monotubs! The airflow in a properly built mono is more than enough and fanning should not be necessary.
Mist only if it is dry. It looks off for sure. Possibly succumbing to bacterial contam that is finally starting to flourish now that the sub is weaker.

I see bacterial contamination. Nothing horrendous.

Also he told me to include that the black spots are spores that dropped from mushies that didn't get harvested in time, also iSmkGrnBud, how should he try to fight this bacteria? Try and dry it out? He does have holes, 2 on each of the long sides, and 1 on each of the small sides

On a second flush, I wouldnt worry too much about fighting it off. Dry up an pooling water on the surface. Could try a peroxide mix to help fight and combat it, but I dont think its worth the trouble if your on second flush. It looks like you need way more FAE, tub needs to be dialed in a little better.

***UPDATE*** OK so after letting it dry out and giving it more FAE, and about 80°F, today there appears to be some white cotton looking mold. My friend is hoping since it's his first grow, it is just mycelium, and there is some growth with a couple of the pins but not all of them. Also in one of the pictures you can see side pins forming. Should my friend?... Option A: Throw it out and start 2nd grow Or Option 2: Let the few pins and side pins grow and harvest OR possibly Final Solution: Try and kill the possible cobweb mold with peroxide and harvest the pins.

He is willing to try and keep this substrate alive, since the first flush only gave about 140g fresh and he was a little disappointed with the size, and was looking forward to the next flushes. Thanks all,

The bacterial contam is evident by the fact that it excreted metabolites (its not piss; mycelium has no bladder).
Options A and er, 2... Are the only real options you have, though, I would opt for option A if it were me.
Good luck to you guys on your next grow.
