who uses apple products?

curious to see how many apple people are here.
personally only have a small ipad that was gifted to me from a friend who was upgrading and wow that thing is close to useless beyond watching streams and browsing the web and even then it seems to not be seemless in any regard.
it constantly will reload the shroomery and unlog me in the process
so who pays out the ass for apple stuff? i have always been a windows person as it is much easier to acquire the media you like for free. if i had unlimited money i wouldn't mind paying for everything but that isn't the case and i don't have the close to 200k for my music alone lol
those that do enjoy apple, beyond the simple syncing of your devices what does it offer? what keeps you happy?

I've got an ipad, and like..a second generation iphone haha. I got the phone refurbished/used after I dropped my android in a river, and the ipad I got for free. I DID pay out the ass for my Dell XPS 13 and I think it was about the same amount as what a new macbook would run, and I do love that.
I have a couple of out of commission 4-ish year old Macbooks that are a few years old that I got over ebay for a couple hundred bucks(they were working when I bought them, they both just require new topcases), they'll probably take around 60-100 dollars a piece to get running again if I do the replacements myself.
I'm not a brandwhore. I like what works. Apple makes legitimately good products, and unless you really want to get under the hood of a computer or are really into gaming then the whole Mac vs PC thing comes down to personal preference and not much more IMO.
Apple provides a solid, sleek all-in-one product, and that is what a lot of people want and need, and there's nothing wrong with that, get off your high horse .

I have an ipad and an iphone. I love them.
I read pdf books, surf the web and watch movies on my ipad. I call people on my iphone.
I wouldn't buy a mac, except a macbook with linux on it.

no high horse here, just never seem to jive with apple stuff, all drm protected stuff and they always want me to pay for things i don't need to.
if they work for you great, i tend to have a lot of issues with things not being supported on my ipad, i only use it to cruise the web or watch streams while in bed.
they have great branding and marketing, i just don't see why people choose to pay more for a product that has better cheaper comparable options that don't make you pay out the ass for everything there after.
and those idouches that always want to show you something on their phone, screw those people.

I bought my ipad to read pdf textbooks for school and the phone was cheap with a two year contract at at&t.
I won't load itunes on my pc because it runs all kinds of crap in the background. So I can't sync.

I got an iPhone. I believe it's a 4S or a 5... It's not written on it, so I don't remember. I don't think its a 6.
As you can see, I don't really give a fuck about it. I like the apps and all, I dont spend my time on my phone. I fact I stay away from it most of the time.
Couldnt care less about the brand

Pretty much this. I have an iphone and shuffle.
My "needs" from a smartphone are pretty basic: internet, music, text, some apps, photos, email, GPS, a phone call here and there. All pretty basic stuff.
Apple packages that up nice and simple for me, with consistent, regular, updates.

Yea, a lot of people bash Apple for their desire to market to the lower tech knowledgeable groups, but that consists of a good portion of the population. Not everyone has time to learn the ins and outs of computing and IT.
Me personally, I always stick with Windows but I'm migrating over to Linux shortly to get away from the stranglehold that microsoft has. My little sister still sticks with Mac products.

I use the iPhone. It was a gift.
If I had it my way I'd be using the galaxy still, with its android os. Android smokes IOS these days. To be honest though I'm just happy to have a personal computer in my hand. Who would've guessed it'd happen as quickly as it has? I remember when my entire family had to share a single computer.

I had an ipod classic that I loved. Years and years later I got an ipad 3, and a macbook pro that I also love. And I got an iphone 5 that I like about as much as my android.
I was historically a PC guy because my PCs were always so much better than the macs my school had. But then I got this macbook and it's great. The casing is better than any PC I've had, the screen is better, and everything else is the same.
Sometimes I get pissed at Apple stuff for not allowing me the level of customization as other computing products. But it spurred me to learn a bit about programing in order to tweak my macbook. I never did any programing on a PC.
I used to care about the Apple vs PC thing because of the different OS. But now that I've had both and know how to use them it doesn't matter. As far as phones and tablets, I don't think there's really much difference between apple and samsung.

I got my iphone 5 used for $300, and my macbook used for $500. I use cubase and the mac runs it fine. Except for cubase 5 not being compatible with an OSx update. So I had to upgrade to cubase 7. I guess they are on cubase 8 now, I can't keep up

My family's first computer when I was growing up was a Mac LC 575 (late pre-PPC one-piece) and I found it enjoyable to use.
I would consider an Mac laptop if I had the money to blow. I think it's a myth that they are overpriced, people just compare them to computers that aren't similarly high-end. Pro grade laptops from Lenovo or whatever are priced pretty similarly.
The iOS stuff does not appeal to me, I like expandable storage in a portable media device. Would only consider buying one for development purposes, apparently it's more lucrative to make apps for them than Android.

I'm using an iPad Air and I've never had any issues with it. In fact as far as tablets go, iPads are as good as it gets. I've seen all the top tablets in action and when it comes to media the iPad simply works more smoothly.

I don't like iPhones but I do love my macbook and my iPod. Apple makes pretty solid products all around IMO
