Wayne Dyer
    #22182192 - 09/03/15 09:30 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

He taught how to overcome any medical issue using the power of your mind - except baldness and a heart attack.

He taught how to improve your relationships. He was divorced twice and estranged from his last wife.

He was a firm believer in 'The Secret' and palled around with fellow huckster Chopra.

He taught that materialism was a trap of the ego, yet he charged thousands for his seminars and lived like royalty.

He constantly stressed honesty and integrity. His first and most successful book, 'Your Erroneou Zones', was a direct rip off of Ellis' Rational Emotive Therapy.

Each new book was a rehash of his previous book(s) and presented material already covered by others.

On and on it goes. Does a spiritual/self help author/lecturer have to be perfect to get OC's approval? Of course not, but can we not get even the tiniest bit of consistency? Should an author not be living the truths he presents?

Back to Source with ye!

I read one of his self help books a long time ago and was bored and disappointed by the end, felt too rehashed and unoriginal

Boring as elevator music, but this Huckster, spent a good bit of time on PBS. Maybe not the Rolls of snake oil salesmen, but a solid Volvo of spinning the shit till is stands up and sings pleasant banal ballads.

I know you do.  Probably still have the same 1985 set when I visited last.
