They look bacterial. 1st one is definitely dry. It needs to be glistening constantly. Mist that shit directly, and keep misting when it isn't glistening anymore.
What is that cloth under the lids of your jars??? If you're doing pf tek all you need is a dry verm layer.

Thanks for reply. I have dry verm layer but put tissue over lids as extra precation.
They look infected
Should I toss?
Sorry man never grew these before. Maybe I birthed too early.
I have only been misting once a day as I thought the bag would provide moister. Will start increasing.
No loss though I am finding the mycelium an interesting project in its own right. It pretty cool hobby or at least potentially when I see all the projects on this site. Really hopping I can get sone spore prints

They're bacterial. Generally doesn't warrant a toss. Just means you gotta check on them while in fruiting often to make sure they haven't contaminated with other molds. It's possible to have birthed too early? Did you consolidate for a week after full colonization? Really for the 1 in fruiting just put it in a proper sgfc, and keep it glistening. Wait and watch it grow

The birthed one only had few days consilidation. So my bad. I still have two unbirthed just got full colonization so will keep them sealed another week or so.
Really glad I checked on here.

Don't shake pf cakes. Only shake grains. Pf cakes have a dry verm layer. Shaking that would ruin the integrity of it. Also for next time all you need is that dry verm layer intact! No cloth
