PNW actives?

I found these in a spot where an overhang was supplying the mulch with massive amounts of moisture. I was blown away with excitement....active or not. They appear to have an annulus. Awaiting spore print. I really am confused as to what they are....no bruising yet.

I also think it is possible there are two different types of mushrooms here and I am regretting not picking the conical caramel colored one. Because the flat caps look like stuntzii to me.

Dude....the season here hasn't even started yet. I am 70 - 80% sure these are active but these were and are a fluke. There are practically no mushrooms out here whatsoever right now. So imagine my excitement when I saw these.
Then right after I saw a really cool woodpecker which I don't ever see. So...."Today was a good day"

I was so anxious that I lifted my caps a bit soon but the print is clear enough that I can tell that these are P. Stuntzii. Quite certain, anybody can correct me if I am wrong.

It depends on a lot of things....but most pickers I think usually are really out in full force in early October. Stuntzii are really pretty varied in the conditions they can thrive in so that is probably why I found them (if these are in fact Stuntzii, which I still need a trusted identifier to verify). It is still too hot for cyans and libs.

I don't have any first hand experience with PNW mushrooms so take this with a grain of salt but I would say those aren't stuntzii

I'm not a TI, but these pics do not look like blue ringers to me. I have heard that they are coming up, though.

I know they don't look like Stuntzii to me either really....but I saw the annulus and also the dark purple spore print and I am not sure what to think. So I am just kind of scratching my head at this point. These are all young specimens though, I am fairly certain of that.

I don't think so. Could you post a picture of your print? I think your excitement is playing tricks on you bro.

Dark purple print. I asked my gf what color she thought it looked like and she said purple. She knows nothing about this either....so she didn't even know purple was a good thing

It's certainly purple. Are you taking prints on your homework? Or were you writing down dosages? Lol. You're as excited as I am for this season.

Lol dude...yeah that was old homework. I am wayyyy too excited for this season. Idk what happened to me but it isn't even about tripping anymore. It is about getting out into nature and embarking on the ultimate treasure hunt haha.
But yeah...definitely purple huh. I feel like they are Stuntzii....it is just one pic on there that is throwing everybody off. I think there were 2 different types of mushrooms in there but I am going to go look again tomorrow.

I'm with you on the treasure hunt. It's not about tripping for me either. My old hunting partner and I were just talking about that today.
