incubation questions

I have some questions about incubation First of all I don't live alone and can't have the temperature where it would ideally be. Is it okay if the inoculated jars are kept at room temp? And are there places to put them that would raise the temp a bit? I also wonder about light. Should the jars be kept out of light? 12/12 schedule? Does it matter? Any feedback, as always, is much appreciated

I'm new to this so take it as you will. Temps don't have to be perfect around 70s-80s. Lighting from my reading should be indirect during colonization. I don't think the lighting schedule is of great importance but they do need some light.

Room temp is fine, anwhere from 70-79. I find anywhere from 72-74 ideal. I wouldn't worry about finding a special place on a shelf or in a drawer will work just fine. You don't need light during colonization. I like to let my jars get ambient light from my surroundings, usually pretty close to 12/12.
