First grow

So I started my ethno growing with cacti about a year ago. All is going well.
I decided to dive into it with fungi as well. So I gathered up everything I needed for a pf tek run and started my adventure.
Spores came from a sponsor. On 8/28/15 I inoculated 12 jars. 6 b+, 3 Malabar, and 3 chitwan
Pics are from a few mins ago 9/2/15.
B+
Malabar
 Chitwan
All seems to be going swimmingly for my first go at this.
From the reading/researching I have done I'm rather surprised by how fast the chitwan is colonizing. It may end up being the one I stick with in the future but still awhile before I can decide that for sure.
Will try to update as things progress.

Ok so all of my chitwan jars have what I believe to be an excess of metabolites probably because the temps are getting a bit to high but not 100% sure being my first rodeo and all.
So anyone with some expertise care to chime in on it.

Looks like the first pic has something green in it and in the middle looks like it might be something grayish. Could be the mycs response to contaminate. But I'm no expert just my two cents

Might be my crappy pics. Definitely no green or gray. Just some of the liquid in the jars has a yellowish tint to it. Not sure if it's bacterial or metabolites.

That green to me looks like the light reflecting off of some vermiculite. Idk
Definitely a lot of moisture in there, you can definitely see some yellow discoloration. I would carry on for now. Keep us updated.

If you could put the cakes down, turn off your flash and reset your camera/phone on something while you took the picture, it would really help us out a lot.

Those pics are much, much better--thanks. It's definitely metabolites, but they look okay. The one that's pinning is ready to be birthed right now.

That's all 1 jar but the other 2 look nearly identical. Was thinking about spawning to coir/verm and maybe worm castings seeing as I only have 3 cakes that are ready to go.
Lost 1 Malabar to a spot of some yellow mold. Other 2 are doing well but still have a bit to go. All 6 of the b+ still have no signs of growth.
Thanks for all the input. I have done a lot of reading but still have much to learn.

So at around 10 days since knocking my jars. None of my b+ jars have any growth except one and I think it's mold. Is this normal or did I get a dead syringe?

The 3 chitwan spawned to the minimono is coming along pretty well. Probably another4-5 days or so.
Malabar cake starting to pin up.
Other Malabar cake only cased the top because there was already a few pins and didn't want to knock them off.

Ahh, a nice recipe I like is powered mushroom added to marshmallows when they're below 130° but still mixable. About an ounce with a standard recipe makes for 12 pieces about the potency of 1.5- 2 grams a piece.

Ok figured I should share the method to my mayhem that most likely aided in this prolific pin set.
What you can see in the pic are my fruiting chambers. They are commercial food storage containers I think they're quart size but not 100%.(can also see my scop x Ljack seedlings in the background lol)
Ok so what I did. A few days after the cakes hit 100% I opened them lightly scraped germ layer till I started to hit myc, birthed cakes, rinsed off cakes, put back into jars and filled jars with water for dunk. Dunk wash around 12 or so hours.
After dunk emptied water and kept the cakes in their jars. I flipped the jars upside down with the jars completely unscrewed just resting on top of the lids.
They were left like that for a few days till I started to see primordia. Then I pulled the jars off to case them and put in the mini chambers. The one cake already had a couple of large pins.
And that's how baby's are made lol.
Edit: I was originally going to put my cakes into a mini sgfc but I lost 1 jar to contam and my 6 b+ jars never did anything so I decided to use the little invitro type domes.

The imperfect seal should provide enuf fae from what I have read around here.
The lids aren't on tight. There upside down with the container just set on top. Basically the same I was doing with the jars just bigger.

I'm currently in the process of my first grow. Saw your cakes, and they seemed very wet but did fine. This is a relief, since mine look about as wet as yours. Concerned about contams, but time will tell. Just inoculated 10 hours ago so I'll have to wait a while to find out.

Still chugging along. Somehow I was under the impression they went from pin to mature faster but I guess not lol.
Another nice pin set around 30-40
If you followed the 2:1:1 mix you should be fine ranman.

There in quart size food containers. Kinda make shift in vitro/humidity dome. Didn't wana bother with a sgfc for only 2 cakes.
I haven't been spraying them much because well I've never done this before and didn't want to drowned them.

So bit of an update(sorry no pics didn't have time)
Harvested first flush/partial flush from one cake. Don't have a # yet will after they dry.
The cake that had the large pin. Yesterday when I got home from work that pin had matured. So I plucked it. Was 10g wet so I figured I'd treat myself since it was my first ever fresh boomer. I got a lot more than I was expecting.
If the rest of the fruits prove to be as good as that one I'll be happy.

Ok so boomers are definitely more impressive looking fresh than dry lol.
Seeing as I found some what I believe to be a couple of small spots of trich in my minimono last night I decided to whip up a few more jars today.
Doing a bit of playing around though. Made the normal 2:1:1 formula but added a tablespoon of coffee and a teaspoon of azomite.
Made 4 jars but still had a bunch of mix leftover so I dumped it into a lunch meat gladware container topped with dry verm and tossed in the steam clean with the jars.
So guess I'll see if it's possible to colonize a pint-pint and a half with ms knocking.
