Living on the edge. Mono'ing without holes and compressing substrate. 2

I just wanted to post a pic and show that it can be done. I got a bunch of heat the other day for mentioning packing substrate down after mixing. And even more heat for not having holes in the tub during colonization of the coir. So I went ahead and let it grow without holes. I fanned and mist once a day, maybe twice on a few days. I should have taken a pic before harvesting. Oh I almost forgot. No black liner at the bottom.

Why did you catch heat for not having holes during colonization? If they were there, they'd be taped up anyway during that part...right? I must have missed the previous posts, if you don't mind me askin', why would you fruit without the holes in the first place?

Experiments. To show it can be done.

Some tool was laying into me saying that mycelium can't colonize compressed substrates. And that mycelium needs o2 to stay alive and that not having holes wasn't going to work. I am sure holes or fresh air would help but not having holes doesn't mean fail.
