For me the dangers of psychedelics are the way you can start being delusional and believe in nonsense like sungazin, orgonites, ormus and all that kind of bullshit....
Damn why does this even happen... isnt it supposed that psychedelics make you smarter?

Generally the opposite is assumed, but naw, I think they can help people who are smart anyway. They won't increase your intelligence directly.

happens when we forget that even though we are supposedly seeing all this truth and glory, we are still under the influence of a drug.
I think its sort of a right of passage though, learning the ropes of tripping so to speak.
Now I can have +5 trip without freaking out. I've learned how to swim.

The most important thing to remember when you are in the throes of an epic dose and don't like it is that it will be over soon.

Question everything, especially the 'insights' psychedelics offer. Occam's razor is a very useful concept to keep with you at all time. The denizens of this site could do well to follow its guidelines more in general.

I think the biggest danger of the classical psychedelics is impaired judgement, and doing something stupid or poorly coordinated under the influence because of it.
Not saying there are any direct dangers, especially for people with preexisting disorders, but blundering under the influence is a serious risk.

Oh no... mind as well jump off a roof before I turn into a glass of OJ.
My humble opinion, the greatest dangers of psychedelics... Going into fight or flight mode (because you think you're actually dying) & doing something that could really harm yourself when you're actually trying to save yourself.
OR...
committing suicide (like jumping off a roof) because you can't take the agonizing torture anymore & death seems like peace in that moment.

That is why I tend to stay home. I've gone to concerts and Derbys on stuff before but I really eat a lot more these days than I did back then. No. Home is where I wanna be

It can be small things like choking on food or falling down stairs.
Yes staying home is the best.

HPPD is fucking gay man nobody warned me about it. There is an entire forum dedicated to HPPD sufferers but before my first trip nobody ever seemed to mention it as something that could happen. I got it on my first mushroom trip.
It isn't that bad but I think new people should be warned about it.

Psychedelics make people smarter? The heavy psyche users I know are very slow in a lot of ways. They are often creative though.
