Troubles with 40-50% colonated Rye Grain

Hey guys, long time supporter of mushroom culture, first time on shroomery.
I've had several successful grows in my life, though this is my first grow using Rye Grain. It seems much easier to handle than the old BRF cakes I used, but I've run into an issue and I'm not sure what to make of it.
I have 3 jars of Rye that I've inoculated with 3 different strains, they're about 8-10 days into visible growth and have been growing with impressive speed so far, I decided to give them a good shake about 36 hours ago to break up the myc. and move some oxygen around the jars.
After shaking I noticed that there was a lot of cloudy liquid on the surface of my grains, and it looks like some of it has dried around clumps of grain. One jar is far worse looking than the others, and that jar has a very odd smell around the cap, kind of like a mix of rust and urine? I'm not sure how to describe it, certainly not what I'm used to smelling when it comes to mushrooms.
I'll attempt to include pictures of what I've seen, I'm working with a phone as my camera so forgive me if the quality is sub-par.
I'm sure my sterilization methods will be worth noting so here it goes:
I soaked the grain for aprox. 18 hours after rinsing ad nauseam, brought to a boil for maybe 30-45 minutes, and let simmer for a few more minutes after turning the heat to low. I then emptied the pot through a strainer, and tossed the grain until no steam was coming off of the grain, I followed several videos on YOuTube for this and even did the toilet paper test recommended by RR. (I took a few grams of grain and set t hem on a piece of bath tissue for 15-20 seconds, and checked to insure there was no surface moisture.)There was virtually no surface moisture on my grains.
From here I loaded the jars up, capped them with my filters made by stacking 2 squares of Tyvek cut from painting cover-alls, there is also a SHIP made of silicone on my filters. I covered with tin foil, and put them in a large pot to steam-sterilize. (I know most people use a pressure cooker, this was not within my budget at the time.)
I steam-sterilized for aprox 1.5-2 hours before letting cool. The Tyvek was dry when I removed the tin foil, and my grains tossed around and weren't stuck in clumps. I figured I was set and knocked up!
I figured the liquid was some excess water from the spore syringe I used and maybe some starch left from cooking the grains? It's worth noting that some of my grains were popped during cooking, I figured this was normal.
If I have nothing to worry about then all the better! I'm religious about working in clean air, and with clean gloves. The syringes were flamed before I knocked as well.
Any help/advice is welcome!
Thanks!

Description sounds bacterial.
Grains take like 9 hours of repeated steam sterilizing to kill bacteria. Rye is one of the worst offenders in terms of bacterial endospores from what I've heard, though I don't have personal experience with it.
Use PF tek or get a pressure cooker.
All of your jars will most likely be bacterial. There are a few oddball teks that can get by without it, but I'm not really sure what they are. I think blackout does some fractional stuff with wheat.
Sorry. Probably back to square one.
Edit: Oh yeah there was a guy on here experimenting with precooked rice packets. Another guy here did a PF grow usually partially ground brown rice (down to like 1/2 grain size) with good success.
--------------------
I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...
