Thinking of doing some P.Sempervivas again

So has anyone grown these lately? I have not done any mushroom hobby for a while now and i would love some new ideas on growing these. Last time i grew these was back in 2012. They are some very potent ones though, that i can promise you. Almost in the league with my wild picked Semilanceatas. I hope my old prints are still viable, but i can probably get something working with the old spores on agar. I even might have some long-term storage tubes that still is good.
I see almost all only grows cubes, why you dont try some exotics? Some exotics are not harder to grow than cubes are.
Here are some old pics of my 2012 small Semperviva grow.

I think a lot of people only grow cubes because they can get nice and big and still be very prolific Not that other exotics can't but people play that card safely Others who simply enjoy growing and could care less about yield are always talking about other strains, edibles, etc. But it is pretty cool to see a tub packed wall to wall with big cubes fighting to breathe

Being relatively new to the hobay I was under the impression exotics were much more difficult to work with. Any suggestions as to a good first step up from cubes?

There are some of the exotics that are no harder to grow than cubes. I can think a little about it and post a list here tomorrow. One thing that is super-easy is growing scletoria stones. Its basicly grow mycelium in a jar and just leave it on the shelf until ready to harvest the stones. So you dont actually grow the mushrooms at all.
There are tecs how to do it in this forum. I did it with a psilocybe named ATL-7 and it was super easy, much more easy than growing cubes. But only a few psilocybes produce scletoria stones.
