this quote was eerie
"CARTER: You just need to do it, Conrad, or Iโm gonna get you help. You canโt keep doing this everyday."
Im gunna get you help? What kind of help was she going to get? This woman is sick in the head.
It reminds me of a story of a woman who hired aa hitman to kill her husband, and that hitman was an undercover cop.
She got charged with murder by proxy. I think this is murder by proxy.

Just saying
If I was a cocksucking frog I would have spelt it the way cocksucking frogs do. Any questions?

This thread had me look a bit into assisted suicide laws around the world.
Turns out, Canada has very specific laws on this:
Quote:
The pertinent section of the Criminal Code of Canada is 241(b):
Suicide
Counselling or aiding suicide 241. Every one who
(a) counsels a person to commit suicide, or
(b) aids or abets a person to commit suicide, whether suicide ensues or not, is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding fourteen years
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_legislation
But they apparently came under fire due to prohibiting reasonable scenarios of assisted suicide.
And Australia has a company that sells canisters to ease people into death, but advising anyone to use them for that purpose is illegal.
However, back in the scenario of where this takes place, Massachusetts does not have any death with dignity legislation, and if they did, his life was not really in a scenario to be subject to it.
Though it is not directly related, an interesting take on such issues shows up in Virginia:
Quote:
In some U.S. states, suicide is still considered an unwritten "common law crime," as stated in Blackstone's Commentaries. (So held the Virginia Supreme Court in 1992. Wackwitz v. Roy, 418 S.E.2d 861 (Va. 1992)). As a common law crime, suicide can bar recovery for the late suicidal person's family in a lawsuit unless the suicidal person can be proven to have been "of unsound mind." That is, the suicide must be proven to have been an involuntary act of the victim in order for the family to be awarded monetary damages by the court.
Do not think that this has actual weighting on potential outcomes for the case in question, but do think that italicized/bolded may well come up in the case -- despite the fact that she actively encouraged him to do it, would not really consider his act to be involuntary on his own part. He certainly did not seem to be sure of himself, and likely could have been talked into counseling or some sort of professional help if he had turned to someone else aside from the person who actively supported his plans. He kept turning to the person who supported him in his plans though.
Ehhhh, it's all a bunch of garbage, but will be interested to see how this turns out.
