8x12 outdoor greenhouse for cubes, tips for shading or general tips?

I have an 8x12 polycarbonate greenhouse that has been going unused and that i would like to start throwing my contaminated jars and spent monotubs in. I picked up some bricks off craigslist today and figured i could make a few small beds within the greenhouse (probably about 6ftx2-3ftx6in each). The greenhouse is in direct sunlight and am looking at tarps to cover it with. I hear 80% shade cloth is very efficient for this but am on a budget and tarps seem much cheaper. The greenhouse can get quite hot, i live in california and i've have seen it get to upwards of 115 F during summer without any shading. As we are entering september it shouldn't reach as high of temperatures, and i can easily remove some of the polycarbonate panels in the roof to allow for more heat to escape.
I am planning on manually watering or perhaps setting up automatic watering via drip lines.
Any suggestions or informative contributions are very appreciated, i'm fairly new to this hobby. I stopped by the local harbor freight to look at the variety of tarps they have and saw a reflective tarp and a 70% black mesh shade tarp for a bit more that both look like they would get the job done well enough, but any information from some experienced cultivators would be marvelous.

I have a similar greenhouse that I use for other hobbies and you are right, heat should be your number one concern. I can't tell you how many times I have fried mature plants because I didn't wake up early enough to open my vents. It's probably going to hurt your mushies just as much if not more. Constant temperatures seem to be fine but it's the swing in temps that will harm your babies.
If you have a little more money to spend look up passive solar vent openers. They absorb light and when they heat up a little piston opens your vent. I also remove my doors during the summer but from my experience it's easier to handle the hotter weather because you can just open everything up. It's the cold sunny days that will kill you because your greenhouse will be closed up to maintain heat during the night but absolutely boil as soon as the sun comes up.
Good luck!

Thanks ChancesAre for the info, solar vent openers definitely look like something i'll consider buying when i have the money to spare. I grew a handful of mj plants this past summer in the greenhouse and they definitely got a little burned from the heat. Currently i am on a budget so i'm going to resort to manually opening and closing the vents i have, hopefully some shade cover will negate enough of the heat.

Shade covers work great. I'm interested to see what happens to your RH when you open your vents. Might want to look into some row covers to mitigate evaporation. I've seen people use plastic in the past.

I have thought about just using a couple steaks, some string and a bed sheet for shade
