I'm just putting in applications right now. At record stores, this one botanical gardening center (that sells kratom), looking at a few 'cooler' looking restaurants. Really just need a PT job to serve as a reference and get some pocket change. When I go back to college, after we move, I'll be more serious about the job thing. Maybe. Or maybe I'll be swamped with school?
I still have to paint the house and do all these 'chores', mow the grass, wash dishes, cook for wife and kids, clean, laundry, sweep, vacuum, etc etc.
For references I'm using phone numbers for recently closed stores and saying I worked for this one (record store / restaurant, whichever I'm applying for) for 6-7 years but they closed.
Just being out there looking for a job is kind of a trip.

Should you lie at a temp agency, be truthful or does it matter? How do temp agencies work? Can literally anyone find work this way? I'm curious since I hear people bring them up as a last resort.

i'd say it's more sad than anything. a whole not a lot of effort, and he gets paid?
both those concepts are just sad and depressing.

If you could get paid to have your ideas put on paper you wouldn't do it?
I have a tons of writings that I have made on my own. Getting paid to just upload them is great in my book

no, he gets paid by people buying the quote unquote "the books he hadn't put a whole lot of effort into".
the people buying what amounts to low effort and something of a low standard, is what's sad.
Nemmies, could just be really good, but then why self-publish, why not make more money by putting something good out there with a publisher? methinks it's because Nemmies is probably not so good.

Some people don't have to put much effort into making brilliance. Take me for example.

Brilliance and effort can be mutually exclusive things

yes, in timely affairs sure. a quip. a philosophy. but in writing a book? anyone who's ever written anything great would tell you that it took them their all to achieve.
hence why no one has approached Nemmies. Nemmies could do better, i'm sure of it.

No it isn't. The top sound engineers in the music industry often say not to spend too much time on a project or the work will start to suffer.
Why do you think freestyling is so big in rap? Because to capture the best out of a song, it has to be felt in the moment.
The same can apply to writing books. The poet e.e. cummings is a good example.

e.e. cummings dedicated his life to writing, oh and the Enormous Room was taken from real life events. it's not the greatest example. it was easy for him, because he was brilliant, already. he wrote everyday of his life since the age of 5. or was it earlier?
and music is not the same, you've got a point there. when it comes to music, you rehearse more than you actually write, because the writing process comes fairly naturally, otherwise, then the work will suffer, as you've said.
and working on things in a timely matter (aforementioned) is not the same as "not giving it your all", which you're kinda seeming to imply.

The more time you put into something the more effort you put into it. You can give it your all and make shit worse. It happens all the time.

but also the less time you put into it, the more effort can be afforded for the premise.
so in the same token, you can put effort into something without giving all that much time to it.
generally, there are books pumped out everyday, some of them legit, some of them not so much. the ones that are legit have interesting premise's. new information. a point...ect.
the ones that are by the bye pumped out everyday with no publisher saying "hey that's some good shit", no editor; that are just sold for money, and nothing but, these books are more common then they should be.
