that LH print is indeed looking like the thick black print you'd want, but it's sort of far away to tell if it has brown in it even when zoomed. the gills next to that print look correct IMHO from what can be seen, too.
also maybe pull the stipe and cap from the group shot that left that print?
ETA: there ya go.

Interesting. Thanks. It blows my mind how these two pans grow together and look so similar. I will take a better shot of the spore prints when I get home tonight.

I picked 120 foes the other day and 40 have turned out to be cincts, jet black prints, really weird, same field and all around the same size and looks, weird man

With each containing one of the following: Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk? Didn't think so. This is why Positive Identification prior to consumption is important.

That is wild. Were you picking the foes for any reason other than hoping some of them would be cincts?

yea i got foes and cincts that grow side by side. it is pretty easy to tell the difference for me by now, by looking at the stem and gills.. they smell different too. I printed a bunch yesterday as well as a couple suspected foes and they were actually all cincts twas nice.

That's awesome. I found these guys below yesterday. Thought it was a cinct at first, but it's definitely not. I also wondered if it was a blue foot. It bruised purple quite aggressively when I cut the stem. The stem was thin but very stout and had some purplish tinge on the outside. Cap quite small, about 1cm. Found on the side of a hiking trail through a hemlock-pine forest in western New Hampshire. Growing out of somewhat mossy ground alongside a well-decayed limb. The little bastard refuses to give me a spore print.

Nice. It's very small, so it's hard to compare to the images online. I think you're right though.

Seems to be a topic of much debate although I don't think it's worth the effort.

This debate has gone on a while now, personally i think it's kind of bunk if it was true i would literally jump for joy n extract thousands of them to get it out n just make capsules of pure product.
Even very weak things still have uses, good old science.
Sadly though, i don't think it's true, maybe some kind of mutation they found? i have yet to actually see any evidence though
