Spray abort with elemental sulphur

Stamets mentions in GGMM p451 "Mist mushrooms with water containing 1/2 teaspoon of elemental sulphur per gallon. Equivalent to 1 lb. sulphur per 100 gallons of water." when having aborts.
Did anyone tried ? do you know what is it supposed to fight/prevent (trich, bacteria) ? sulphur misting is a classic foliar fongicide in organic farming, but wont it kill the mycelium ?

Most people just pick the aborts or leave them

Thanks bodhisatta, I am doing the same, but wondering if I shouldn't change to Stamet advice. Few bags I have keep aborting for weeks.
The only thing I found on internet about spraying abort with elemental sulphur is on this FAO guide : when having aborts, a possible cause is "There is contamination such as mold, bacteria, insects, worms and mites. Check hygiene, adjust environment of light, temperature, humidity and ventilation. In more severe cases, use half a teaspoon of sulfur in 3.5 liters of water. Mist the bags and the surface of mushrooms. Remove contaminated bags from mushroom house and recycle."

Seems like entirely too much work to save a few mushrooms.

I was interested to know if you have tried the sulphur treatment since your last post Popok.
Have you noticed a 'hygiene'/contamination problem(which may be causing your abort problem) in the bags that keep aborting?
A footnote: I noticed an increase in abort frequency when my environment was too dry for too long.

didnt try yet, I have to find it first. I have some pulmonarius bags from multispore that keep aborting with 70-80% RH, but I dont see contamn. I thaught maybe a strain problem.
