cows bovines cattle bulls and pissed off redneck farmers....

I have found a nice cow field. its large with 15 or more cows. Ive been there twice now and my time gets cut short. I try to avoid the area where the cattle are chilling, but they see me in some spots. Most of them will come close to me, (sneak up on me) and just kinda follow me around just curious. But after about 20 min there are a few cows,(maybe even only 1) that just starts moooing at the top of its lungs.
the first time I just left as this was a day hunt.
tonight I went to the fence line and after about 5 min of the cow "screaming" I heard a truck start up and then saw the headlights as he drove around the pasture.
I havnt fount anything at this field yet and want to go back after the next rains come through.
any tips on keeping noisy cows from spoiling my hunt? cow snacks?
Obviously the last thing i want is to be at the business end off a pissed off redneck farmers double barrel 12 gauge

Dude,I had this happen to me years ago when I used to hunt cubes. It was a damn bull that would scream and scream until either the farmer got up,or I left the field. Several times he charged right up on me,and nearly killed me,so I stopped hunting that field until things calmed down.
It never happened during the day, only at night. I think the farmer put up the cows at night, and let the bull roam the field because it was a known shroom field behind the local high school, and if a bull doesn't deter kids form jumping the fence nothing will
I also used to hunt in a horse only field, and the damn horses would run right up on me and try to stomp the hell out of me as soon as they got wind of me!
I'm really surprised I'm still alive to tell these tales.
The worst was when the farmer, and I assumed were his sons, came out on four wheelers hollering get the hell out of my field blasting shot guns. I have never been so scared for my life than I did that day,and I had to lay down and hide in a patch of weeds for hours until it was safe to get the hell out of there.
Even if I ever did want to hunt cubes again,I would never do it,because it's too damn dangerous!

The cows think you're there to feed them. When you don't give them any food after a while they'll get crankey and moo.
Take some feed, scare the cows off or find another field.

I lost it right here
My recommendation would be to bring cow snacks & lure them away from where the mushies at

that's some sketchy shit when u saw headlights. I've read the crazy stories folks have hunting cubes. I went for the first time yesterday in broad daylight and was sketched out hopping the fence and stuff.

this. i used to have permission to relic hunt a field where a confederate camp was during the US civil war...the only issue was that the momma cows would get really sketchy when they were calving, to the point that i had a set of $90 headphones stomped when one snuck up on me once...at least she didn't stomp my calf that was right next to them.
i started bringing apples and alfalfa hay to the field with me to bait them in a different direction. i cut the apples into eating slivers and would sling handfuls of them sidearm into the field to scatter them. then i'd walk even farther away from where i wanted to hunt and drop a pile of alfalfa--just an armful or so--and scatter that around a little too.
i know this works in a larger field with smaller herds but not sure about a smaller pasture with like 1,000 head herds. cows are inherently a bit lazy and don't want to walk 10 acres to get to you after you've appeased them somewhat.

This. I've worked on ranches in the south US for a couple years. In fact the only people I've known to be so scared and concerned about livestock are "shroomers".
I can only imagine how it feels to walk onto a field of prey animals(cattle) as an apex predator(human) and being nervous and scared of them. They are simple minded meat sacks.

It's strange really, when i hunt with other people they get chased by rams & nearly trampled by cows.
But..
They ignore me, anyone else gets close to a cow or ram and they're being chased off.
I dunno if this will help but i just kind of glance at the animals and walk with the herd not away from it, but keeping my distance somewhat, if you act like it's normal they tend to ignore you in my experience.
Could just be certain types of people they don't bother with though, it's strange to say the least.

Yep, it's amazing when you think about it, we kind of have this too i guess, but we use facial expressions, it's total madness i can't wrap my head around how they do it.
Even if some one's just a little bit wary they seem to know
