Quick Damp rid long term storage and drying box questions

Did my second monotub grow, two this time since all my grain jars took off (I made extra expecting half to fail like last time. Nope! I got it right and all jars colonized). I have more fungus than I dreamed off (not a bad thing), and have to think more about long term storage,
1) I've used Damprid in a plastic shoebox with a mesh screen lifting mushies so they DO NOT touch it. (Mushrooms are fan dried before, box is only to get cracker dry). I need to make a second drying container and have tyvek envelopes. I'm wondering if for the second box, instead of getting screen, can I just put damp rid in box bottom, cover with a sheet of tyvek, and then put the mushrooms on top of the Tyvek. Not touching the Damprid.
2) Jar storage, which might be better?: Dampid at bottom of canning jar, then piece of Tyvek envelope as barrier, then put mushrooms in jar. OR....should I skip the Tyvek, and put the mushrooms in plastic freezer/sandwich bags (keeping them from touching the dampid at the bottom of the jar). I like how Damprid really gets them dry, but of course know not to let the fruit come in contact.
BONUS QUESTION: Long term storage idea for a couple jars: damprid at jar bottom, mushrooms sealed in freezer bags, then those jars go in the freezer (the combo of damprid and the mushrooms in freezer bags keeping moisture from affecting the fruits).

Or you could get a food dehydrator, place mushies in it at 160f, come back in 12 hours and you'll have cracker dry mushies ready to be stored in mason jars/bags with a small silica gel packet for added insurance.

I thought about that, but the same time, the Damprid in the plastic shoebox gets them cracker dry in less than 24 hours. I have a tub of the stuff, would be easier just to get another plastic box at the local hardware store here in NYC.
But maybe I'll consider the food dehydrator. However, since I already have the damp rid, I figured I might as well use that instead of ordering silica packs. It does a similar thing very well, as long as I don't have it touching the mushrooms. I'm not perturbed by the fact that it's not reusable, I've got a tub of it that should last quite a while.
Also, for longer-term storage, would it not be better to have them in the freezer? I know the issue there is moisture, I think the damp rid in the jar could help take care of that. The fruits would be packed tightly in freezer bags also.

Oh, but I found dry for 24 hours first. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I get a food dehydrator, I might be able to skip the fan drying, no?

Yes you just place your fresh mushies in there at the highest setting and they will be done in 12 hours or less!!
And no need for freezer storage, if they're dried properly, you can store them in mason jars in a cool, dark place with some of that damp rid you have. The potency should stay the same for years.
