Where I have my jars there is no A/C and it gets about 85 degrees in here during the day so I needed to figure out how to keep them cool to prevent contams and boom walking around walmart I found these 6 pack ice blocks they only cost 1.50 each get a few keep them in the freezer and place them in your SAB with the jars spaced evenly away I also have a few ice pack bags that I have laying on the back of the SAB with foil behind it. My SAB stays around 75 degrees while the room temp is in the 80s!!! Also a close up of the 2 day old agar to grain transfer.

Nice idea man. Putting salt on the ice might help prolong it as well as make it colder. Just a thought EDIT: maybe add salt to the water before you go to freeze it?

When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

Those ice packs come filled and have a unique fluid in them, salt is not needed.

85F is fine, but if it gets much higher than that you'll probably only see growth during the night when it's cooler.

I open my jars to cool them off when it's that hot.

Yeah once I got these ice pack in there the speed of growth has gone up a lot. And it's pretty crazy how long they stay cold for just sitting in a SAB I get a good 10 hours before it gets to room temp.

So far the 2 I have last all day during the heat but I'm just keeping a upper 80s temp room cool if it was in the 90s it would probably need to be swapped halfway through the day.
