Sterilize a few sheets of paper towel to wipe the walls of your dishes; using an SAB of course.
Cant really stack pasty plates like you would petri dishes..
So... you don't think forcing the condensation on the walls of the pasty plate to pool up and then the act of pouring that water out will work?
I just don't pay any attention to the condensation and it's never a problem but this way is significantly better than wiping down the inside of a plate with anything.
I like to pick up my plates and flip them around to inspect them in the light. If I did that without pouring the condensation out first, the water would pool up on my culture. However, I'm sure you aren't as playful as I am with my plates though and that's why you could care less about the condensation.

I can't think of a way to wipe down the inside without putting your hands way too close to your work.
Efficiency is different things to different people I guess. Not seeing the efficiency of sterilizing a paper towel vs... not. Good thing I don't have to do it I guess.

I hate not being able to see whats going on down there, having to open it up in sab if condensed.
Usually though i rather pour a bit chunky agar, than hot so it condenses

i actually do the same thing with my pour plates. sometimes i don't have time to wait for bottle to cool, and have to pour right away. a lot of those plates get condensation, even more so in front of a hood than an SAB because there is no insulation. i keep a pp5 of sterilized cotton balls, and use tweezers to wipe the lid if i have to.
but i agree 100% its all preference.

Ganoderma Resinaceum:

I had 3 of these blocks to harvest last night. I forgot to take pics of all three. Here is the harvest of all the antlers though.

Thanks!
Yeah, the Reishi isn't eating the filter, just growing through it! Once they got high enough to reach there it became an every day or so thing to check the filter and remove anything growing through it and try to separate it from the antlers in the bag without tearing the bag. All 3 bags were doing this, then I noticed a green spot on the filter of the 3rd bag and decided it was harvest time. After the harvest I resealed the bags for another round of antlers. I soaked the filter of the 3rd bag in iso and got rid of the green, as far as I can tell. That bag may contam out though. If the bags produce another round of antlers, I will probably just keep repeating until the blocks will give no more.. or there's no more bag above the substrate left to reseal.
Well the ABM was to be spawned to sterilized substrate this week. But now that there's fruits in the bag I've got to rethink that. Gonna probably pasteurize the sub instead this time, then I should be ok plucking the fruits from the bag before spawning. We'll see how that works out.

The towel folded inside the Pasty plate is pretty damn clean after a PC cycle though.

Yes, but every time you open a plate is a possible contam vector. Plates should be opened a little as possible, period. If something can be done to avoid condensation instead of wiping down the inside of a plate, it should be done instead.

I think opening the plate upside down for a split second is as good as it gets for already existing condensation. Even better if it's near the top back corner of the SAB.

Pour your agar as close to 46-47C as possible. And if you get condensation get a cup of hot water with a flat bottom put on top of the dish and it will be gone in a minute

I've only done ganoderma twice. Well, 3 times. Once with the lucidum strain from mushroom central, I spawned it to a month old unused CVG damion5050 bucket. I bagged the substrate and sterilized it first. It didn't fruit for shit in the bag, but it was too cold at the time I think, not ideal substrate either. Basically it created one antler that started at the side of the bag, and hugged the substrate and flattened out and aborted on the top of the sub. That block is sitting outside now and hasn't done shit still. My second run was with black reishi. I got a good pinset in the bag, but then I decided to strip the bag completley and set it outside where I thought they would do well. That was dumb. They aborted and then the blocks contamed out. I should have left them in the bag like these and I would have got a similar result. Got more black Reishi spawn in the works to try again.

Man those fruits are impressive! I've tried PE a few times now with your bottle Tek and can only get blobs or extremely small, like 1" fruits. And the same culture produced great fruits in a mini-mono so it's not shitty genetics.
I wonder what I'm doing wrong.
That PE culture dose pretty lame things in tubs. Some genetics do beer in tubs. Some do better in bottles.

Agreed. My best clone in tubs is shit in a bottle.
