Brf jars consolidation
    #22167859 - 08/31/15 06:29 AM (8 years, 4 months ago)

I have three jars finishing up today/tomorrow they are 25 days in for the past week they have been upside down finishing up the bottom, which was a space roughly the size of two quarters. Should I still let them go for an additional week or just a few days. Also I'm kinda wondering about rolling them should I wait or do it to begin with.  If someone could point me in the right direction it would be helpful thank you

Cant tell ya anything without a picture. Once fully colonized, let it sit another week to ''digest''

You turned your pf jars upside down? You put a layer of verm on the top when you made them yeah? That means you fucked up your contam barrier when you tipped them upside down.
Generally you dont wanna touch those jars before fully colonized, i know it is a pain to wait, but just dont

anyways.. Dont roll later, always roll ONCE when you birth them, not again.

Alright, just make sure to give them a good whiff when you fruit them, make sure the smell of fresh mushrooms is there. No sweet or sour smells

Eh well as i said before, just make sure to give em a good smell when you birth them. Usually when pf cakes you are going to want to let them fully colonize, then give them another week to digest. Then birth, dunk and roll.

You fruit them as they are done, no jumping over smaller fences here. You can let those that are already done stay, wont harm them being in the jars until the rest are ready. If you start getting in vitro fruiting though, fruit.

About the perlite and sgfc, depends on the size of the tub. Usually 4-5 inches is recommended

Got home from work a little bit a go and one of the jars that I had flipped upside down, not one of them in the pics, had formed some green mold in the space between the cake and the jar. It wasn't touching the cake and the cake was at about ninety five percent done or more. I scrapped out what looked to be in colonized and a little more to be safe. I washed it real good and put it in a Baggie with water. In seeing how much of the cake was actually done in the middle I went a head and birthed the cake I had taken pics of instead of waiting and to my surprise there were two liittle mushies curled up near the lid where I couldn't see. When I finish my sgfc tomorrow I'll post some pics.

Contamd subs/cakes can still produce mushrooms.
I wouldn't suggest leaving them around though.

Put the cakes on verm it's been about 20 hours in the dunk. I finished the sgfc on my lunch break tonight. I put it in front of the window in the bed room  and hung a black blanket behind it, I work nights by the way, will this be enough light it gets day here around 7 and gets dark about the same time  here's a pic with four cakes in it   I have a light it's only 5000 k if I need it
