How are you going to die?

How do you think you're going to die?
How old will you be when it happens?
If you had the ability to know when death is coming, would you want to know?
***********************************
I know this is a morbid topic but some recent events have me questioning my mortality.
I'm thinking either a heart attack in my 40s, cancer in my 50s or suicide in my 60s.
Thoughts?

I dunno exactly when or how, but I don't really expect to live another 30 years. It's odd thinking that at least half of my life is probably over at this point.
And no, I really don't want to know the exact date. I imagine the anxiety of knowing a date and time, would be like going to court that last time when you know it's not going to be reset to a later date and in however many minutes you're going to be sentenced, only several orders of magnitude worse.

With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way. I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today. Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. I'm with ya Shroomslip. Another 30 years is a lifetime for me. My grandparents are in their 80's and they keep on kicking, active as ever. I have a lot of respect for them but it taxes my mind to think that is over 2.5x as long as I've been alive.
But then I think about how 30 used to be the end of the spectrum for the average life expectancy and I can't really comprehend what that would be like either

In a blaze of glory...
Honestly, I don't know, and I don't want to know. It's inevitable, and I try not to think about it. In all actuality, it should've already happened. Somehow, I'm still here though. I will worry about it once my health starts debilitating. For the moment, I'm gonna live my life and try to enjoy it.

I think that's mostly a misconception, the average is thrown off by the fact that many many people died in childhood. A life expectancy of around 30 doesn't necessarily mean that a lot of people died at around 30.

You're correct - in late medieval English times, life expectancy at birth was 30 but if you made it til 21, you were in the clear and life expectancy was an additional 40 years or so.
Kinda fucked up way to live your life back in the day

Heart disease. That is if the depression doesn't do the job sooner.
I'm not suicidal, but I'm okay with it if my number comes up tomorrow. I'd be curious, like anyone, to see what does it. No one gets out alive, so I just concentrate on making the most out of my time here.

I think about death every single day of my life. It's scary, but I'm resigned to it. I think I'll live to at least 80, but I'm not taking anything for granted. I hope to be a centenarian, but that's a tall goal.
