Composting Pine chips
    #22165677 - 08/30/15 05:45 PM (8 years, 4 months ago)

Got some horse manure mixed with pine shavings from a stable recently. My question is should I be worried about the natural fungicide that the pine shavings contain even after composted?

stable manure is not the best of choices, i much prefer to get it from the field.
That said aged pine is not the end of the world

There is a variety of cube that grows on stable manure just fine. I think the name of the variety is Lizard King, named by and for the guy who discovered it. I think he is a member here.
