Oats and oak inoculated with colonized millet.

Do you have a certain room that you fruit those in or do you cold shock them? I really want to grow some cool weather species but not sure how to cintinue growing cubes, if I want to grow a cool weather species also.

Ganodermas actually do best in warmer temps. I have never needed to cold shock them to pin.

There are strains of Lions Mane, Shiitake, and Reishi that I know of that fruit in 65-72F.  No cold shock needed.  With the Shiitake though just before fruiting you will want to beat/slap the block all the around it.

Speaking of warm weathered edibles, wanna grow some agaricus species but with the bio activity needed to maintain a healthy substrate isn't compatible with species that require a semi sterile environment to fruit indoors inside of.  Another whole different, separate fruiting area would need to be designed and constructed.

Don't those cultures cost an arm and a leg?

Sorry pasty, I'm not familiar with Ganodermas. I just seen wood lover and thought, must be a cold weather species.

So if I had muda bottles of king oyster, I could just refridgerate them for a few days and then put them into fruiting?

No worries mike, no worries. Ganodermas fascinate me, I plan to spend a lot more time on them as I still have a lot to learn about them myself.

Nah, bro.  You can pick them up from Sporeworks in LC form for 18 dollars a piece.  Everything Mushrooms has a great, cheap stock of edible LC's also.  Just be sure when getting LC from vendor that you noc up some agar plates to determine cleanliness of culture instead of taking the LC straight to grains.  I don't see oysters benefiting from a cold shock.

I did a few runs of kings in bottles. I just put them it to fruiting at the same temp they colonised at (65-70) once they hit 100%. They did just fine.
Until my Temps started going above 70.
After that they looked a bit sad.

Thanks, ham. I will definitely look into that. I would never go straight to grain without putting it to agar first. That's like playing with a loaded gun.

I guess I should be fine than, My ambient room temperature never goes above 71*F. Also with autumn right around the corner, temps should start to become a little more manageable as average outside temps begin to decline.

Hell Yea, I just had some b+ a few weeks ago that were insanely visual. I have yet to have a weak grow from b+, I'm not sure why I hear so many negative things about them

I think b+ has a less than stellar reputation because it is a recommended noob strain. It's not that the strain is poor but noobs usually give them the least friendly conditions because of a lack of experience and knowledge. It's easy to blame ones failures on poor genetics. Poor conditions lead to loss in potency. Of course genetics play a role but they are only a set of potentials and need ideal outside parameters to reach there peak performance.

I'll add that they are also likely to fan and desiccate dry them. The only bunk B+ I ever grew were the ones I didn't use a dehydrator for.

To be honest, I was skeptical of the whole dehydrating mushrooms thing for the first year that I grew so I fan dried and des chambered them. Now that I use a dehydrator, there's no better way of drying them and I kicked myself in the ass for not using one right away

I can not weigh in on that because I've never attempted drying mushrooms without a dehydrator. I have had bunk mushrooms. They did not look healthy, I unintentionally provided poor conditions and they gave me what I gave them, not much.

Does each strain give you a different high. Because I just mixed all my 4 strains together dried in 1 bag

Not really a different high but there's a difference IMO.

Enjoy
