I haven't read this whole thread yet but I hope the fed is bluffing and will cancel the rate hike at the last second. Raising interest rates is basically inviting death at this point.

When do you suggest they stop providing the heroin and switch to the methadone?

Just as I predicted, the fed did not raise rates. I've been saying for a long time, they will huff and puff, they will talk a good game of raising it but will keep finding excuses not to do it. The can of worms would start breaking open and no one wants that.

From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835) Trade list http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/18047755

The can is floating in mid-air with worms coming out of a few of the holes punched in the bottom late Aug. The VIX wanted no part of under 18 and soon bounced over 20 again. They tried to suppress it today to no avail and it's got tons of room to grow back to minimum 30. The pope visit and talk will reveal the "new" and "improved" UN agenda 21 on steroids. They are making climate change a religious issue. So, do your part, stop driving, and bicycle or walk to work and the store. Better to be in shape now than to have to ride the bus with all the migrants.

esoteric notion as follows: my friend we're here to be alive in interesting time, the problem my friend is it that our interest is discrete and not quite so obvious? is the point of interest so subtle only those of keys may even embark to debunkle the happenstance?

The point is that if we all lose interest, and that's obvious, nobody will want to invest in our future, and the future of our children and our children's children's children. The problem compounds as the lack of compounding combined with an exponentially mounting defunky deficit creates a financial black hole that if allowed to persist will suck the gravity out of life on earth and replace it with a few priceless diamonds.
