They have so much beautiful music. I keep discovering more songs of theirs that just speak right to my soul. Chains is easily one of my new favorites:
There are notes that ring eternal there are songs that will remain momma sang a song of love I've carried all my days
And I find my own voice singin' in a voice that I once heard I recognize the feelings I recognize the words
Chorus
oh, here it comes again oh, some things never end
there are things that aren't forgotten there are things that still remain events of long ago, now
somehow form a chain grandpa cracked a whip down it's stung a long, long time
daddy picked that whip up cracked that back of mine in a moment high confusion has got a grip on me
i wonder how that whip now
is in the hand i see
CHORUS
there are scars that aren't forgotten there are scars that still remain events of long ago now somehow form a chain
can you find it in the mirror? can you find it in your heart? look into tomorrow do you stop before you start?
do you find your own voice ringin' in a voice that you once heard? do you recognize the feelings? do you recognize the words?
oh, here it comes again oh, some things never end
there are things that aren't forgotten there are things that will remain events of long ago somehow form a chain
-------------------- Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

I saw them once probably at least 10 years ago at a festival. I remember them being pretty good.

I like RRE too. They did an album with Warren Haynes recently and there is a good quality torrent of them playing a show together.
I found it on youtube too

I bet, they seem like they put on an amazing show. I bet the energy is incredible
The one time I saw them playing by me it was a local festival and I missed it
Thankfully there are plenty of high quality recordings of their shows online.

at a music festival about a month ago they were playing with warren hanws while me and my friends were peaking and sitting next to the beach. it was low tide and all these people were walking out into where the water was only hours prior, and we spotted one man in large hiking boots following a few feet behind some ladies. he kept kneeling down and taking pictures of them like every 5 feet. it was the most bizarre thing, especially with the hiking boots. all while warren haynes was singing some deep emotional song. me and my friend were dying laughing over this shit, as if it was like, the theme song/TV show into to the stalker guys life. i dunno, one of those things u had to be there for.
i dont really like warren haynes a whole lot in general though, his style rubs off oddly to me, but he's def talented

Seeing them in October. I don't think I've really listened to them too much but what would get me real excited is if they were playing with Warren Haynes in October but that's most definitely not gonna happen.

It will be great regardless I am sure: Railroad Earth-Monkey 1/17/14-Twist and Shout
Another great song from them. Potters Field and Black Elk Speaks are two of my other favorite songs. They have so many great ones though...

Yeah I'm not a huge Warren fan either. I went to quite a few Phil and Friends shows where he was fronting. He's not bad, but not really my taste. A little too much of a Brent Mydland sound to his voice for me.

I never have listened to much of his but I have seen him shred with a lot of bands I love so I have much respect for him as a musician.
I am uploading some RRE to youtube as I have been addicted to this concert and want to see a song or two from it on youtube...
