not bolete imo
have you tried bruising? bolete genus tends to bruise brilliantly on the pores. the local boletus in my area bruise green-blue, which usually indicates psychoactive. they're not though, sadly.

In my experience with boletes is that they grow shorter and tend to have a "bulkier" look. This is just when I check them out in passing. Although i don't know much about them so take this with a grain of salt.

Slippery Jacks. Should have sticky cap you can peel off. I just found same ones. One of mine had 3 maggots stuck in the tight pores and hanging vertically. I was able to pull them out with tweezers and the rest of the shroom was pristine.

That's sort of what I'm thinking, cap does peel easily... haven't really noticed milky droplets under the cap though....

Thought slippery jacks had a ring round the stem? Same family though for sure...

It is normal when it is more or less dry weather. Maybe, it isn't suillus granulatus but suillus 100%

Can't think of anything else because the pores are so tight and light in color... Going a bit yellow with age and when bruised...
