Why arent these things fruiting!!??
    #2216249 - 01/03/04 05:30 AM (12 years, 10 months ago)

2 casings have been made. Mycelium is on the top layer and in small vertical pin like formations and it is moist. Everything just seemed to stop. Will these things ever fruit!?

how long have they been in your fruiting chamber?
do you have hyphal knots yet.

here's a picture of knots, incase you dont know what they look like.

no knots, they were cased 3 weeks ago. temp is 72. there is water droplets all over the chamber. not much light. fanned 2 times a day. what does it take to induce hyphal knots?

i use a 13watt flouro tube over my terrarium,it's on for four hours a day,my cases pin in about 5 or 6 days after birthing.
i know there are many variables at work here,i'm just trying to work out whats holding your casings back.
you could try exposing them to more direct light.
also, have you been misting the surface of the casing atall?

no, there is no need to mist to my knowledge. Everything is nice and moist.

thats good to hear, dont mist the surface.
all i can think of is try to expose it to more light, and maybe fan more often.

i've heard that B+ can be a slow producer,so just hang in there, give them light and fan them lots.
they will come.

I have some good experience with B+ and they are slow, Fanning more will help deffinatly, as if you look at the pics do you see how "fluffy" the myc is that is showing that comes from high humidity and HIGH CO2 . If you punch some holes in the bottum of your chamber just above the perlite it will help when you fan, but small holes. And be for warned B+ normally grow huge the last ones I grew were like 20 grams a piece ! Take a look at my logs and you will see.
