Mixed up a few jars of brf with 50\50 brf flax and fine verm. WOW much faster growth that just plain brf. Granted they were all MS. But all the regular jars are way behind the flax seed jars. They'd almost done at 1 1\2 week

Isn't flax extremely nutritious? Wouldn't it slow down growth because it doesn't need to stretch out so much looking for nutrients? I mean with isolates on agar it does that when you alter the nutrients..

I wonder if they omega 3 found in the flax transfer to the mushrooms.

Does flax tend to yield better results as far as fruiting...I'm assuming so since the nutrient level tends to be higher...and the mycelium is some of the most fibrous stringy stuff I have ever seen. I post pics later

Interesting that it's rizmorphic. Like I said lower nutrients will make it rizmorphic and fast.. I wonder if flax is less nutritious than brf haha. How much flax per jar? You just said 50/50 (1:1) verm and brf (I'm assuming)
That's another reason people do 1:2 ratio of brf:verm. It'll colonize quicker.

i did 1:2 with 1 being 50/50 brf/Flax and 2 being verm. I also allowed for the MS syringe to soak for a few weeks, and by the time I knocked them up, it looked like LC.
Here is what one of the Flax seed jars looks like after 1 1/2 week.
 Notice the rhizos
EDIT: Also they have been incubating at roughly 68 Degrees F and a consistent temp.

This would have been really cool in a legit 1/2 pint wide mouth short jar.
Nevertheless
