I found some shrooms out there today that are very familiar but I cannot remember it's name. I was wondering if you all could help me out. Currently working on a spore print.

Heres where I split the stem open

Gills

Cap

Oh yeah!
I found these in the Appalachian mountains. A dark forest in a damp area (of course)

Why?

These have not been properly ID'd, so is unwise to suggest another member eat them.  Some Boletus sp. are poisonous.

I'm just saying what I would do but I guess its an important distinction. That Bolete certainly won't hurt him though. TIs have confirmed that boletes without red pores and that don't stain blue are never poisonous. And no bolete will kill you. Even if that stem is blue stained I doubt would make you sick. It's a tasty looking bolete imo and I would eat it but he's right you shouldnt until you give a description and better pics so it can be IDed!

Reminds me of Leccinum versipelle but it is a bit small and the stem doesn't seem quite right. Either way, for it to be any kind of Leccinum it had to have been growing with Birch. Also Leccinum scabrum does not bruise when broken, where the one i mentioned does.

I dont think above is correct but your pics are not good. Cap looks like leccinum though and they are my fav. bolete taste wise; esp. the stipes.

I always thought Birch Boletes are poor eating, but then I've never tried drying them first. You must not have tried Boletus edulis.
