Monotub stalling after 18 days, why?!
    #22156303 - 08/28/15 11:59 AM (8 years, 5 months ago)

This is my first Monotub and for some reason it has seems to stall out at 18 days.

Any explanations, or would you call this 100% colonized and i should switch to fruiting?

its a contamination. just fruit it now and cross your fingers it wont turn green before you have a flush.

Well that sucks -_-.

Just stuffed the holes with some poly fill and introduced light.

Lets see what happens..

Edit: im going to guess it from me opening the lid a little to peak, did that about 3 times. But just barely opening it though..

Peaking probably wasn't the cause, my guess is you have some unwanted tenants in that tub. You'd have to peak for a while to get it to stop colonizing and fruit.

Also I am going on vacation for 9 days in 6 days. How badly do you think this is going to cause me a problem? :/ Or should i be able to get a flush in that short time even with contams?

You'll come back to a spore-splosion. Make sure you dial in your tub before you leave or you'll kill a bunch of strangling pins:

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17332777

You don't need a fan but adjust the polyfill until it's about there. You may start seeing pins in those 6 days and they'll mature while you're away.

Looks like a tub that is over grown to me. The picture sucks though.
Get a clear pic. I would start misting that thing to knock down that mycelium

Oh, it can be too wet. The mycelium will stall If the substrate is too wet during colonization. Then the grain will suffocate and contaminate. That's if the coir is too wet. The casing can handle more water once fully colonized.

I know there is plenty of water in there. Will you take your spray bottle and set it right between the mist and spray setting. Then use the spray to knock down the aerial mycelium. Then post another pic

There seems to be a few different things growing on that casing. It will still probably fruit.
