Yeah it's pretty good man. It's kind of like Chipotle except its more fancy and the food is Mediterranean instead of Mexican. If you like Chipotle you'll definitely like Kava

Kava kava islanders often make jokes about how the kava tastes like seemen.
Islanders will often say things like "want some of my kava. you wanna taste my kava".
Just have a couple sips of beer, it will do more for you then kava.

The best Kava experience I had consisted of me chewing kava root bits and spitting them out, repeating over and over. No pills have come close.
Chewed root got me HIGH, capsules was more like a pharm. I'd love to do Kava with friends but I know they won't dig chewing the root.

I made a bunch of Kava tea once from root powder. It definitely got me high. It was a little bit like an opiate mixed with a benzo. It skyrocketed my blood pressure though. So much, that I won't take it again in those doses. The extract that I've had that comes in little droppers doesn't do shit IMO.

I've had it a handful of times. It's a real mild buzz but it's enjoyable.

I had great experiences with a bottle of kava kava tincture. Was great for anxiety and gave me awesome sleep. I haven't gotten anymore because I don't really know how toxic it is or isn't. Its easy to take a lot or daily, I used to put it in my mate every morning it was nice.

It interested me because it has a similar(although not as large) following to kratom. Apparently there are different varieties of kava for more of "bliss" feel or relaxing or energetic kind of stuff.
Also apparently has a reverse tolerance effect.

I've head the liver thing really has to do with whether or not it was grown and harvested properly. I forget the particulars but I think it has something to do with the root coming into contact with the sun. Kinda like green potatoes.

Just have a glass of wine or a beer if you wanna mellow out. Drinking liver toxic plant juice for a murky buzz is not worth it.

Isn't alcohol liver toxic as well?

Nah bro moderat drinkers live longer then non drinkers.
People bitch and moan here about alcohol being a hard drug, but for most people it is actually the complete opposite. You end up living longer and honestly a glass of wine a day is good for you.
People here act like it is worse then heroin which is simply not the case for most people.

Depends how much you drink I thing, but yeah I think moderate alcohol consumption doesn't really have any detrimental side effects

Alcohol is toxic for the liver, the benefits it gives is to the heart, which is what causes for a longer lifespan. But daily drinking can catch up later in life(even in low quantities).
Plus I'm not too much of a fan of alcohol. I don't really like the taste of beer. Never had wine. I had whiskey once and it was mildly enjoyable. I'm just about to turn 20, so i can't really even buy alcohol for another year or so.
But I've been looking up on the liver toxicity of kava, and it's pretty conflicted. Although there is no major evidence that it causes liver problems, There's just too much conflicting information. There have been some cases of people needing liver transplants, but they;re not sure if it's directly related to kava or not, as most of them only had it a few times.
Plus there are people who have used kava for years daily and experience no ill effects.
Anyone have any first hand experience?

Kratom is pretty awesome, just curious about this. The people who get into kava, really are into kava. Kinda similar to people with kratom.
Just wondering what all the fuss is about. Also kava has had like 3000 years of use or something.

There is no big following for kava like kratom at all.
Kava is a watered down version of alcohol and does a fail job IMO of even coming close to the buzz of just one good glass of wine.
