The most infamous and powerful. A lot of the stories are true, I hope they mention that Escobar got batshit crazy after a while and smoked a lot of coke.

I finished the season yesterday. Amazing show.

I didn't realize it was a series. I wonder how long it will take to come out with the 2nd season

I finished watching season1 as well, it was better than good.

The actors were great, awesome writing, and the cinematography is superb especially for a netflix show. Can't wait for season 2. This has become like the new breaking bad, get ur fix while it's hot folks.

Also while we're at it, check out wet hot American summer the series, shit is lolsy.

I finished the whole season in 2 days. 2 episodes one day. 3 later on. then 5 in a row. It's addicting already waiting on season 2. I was hoping it wouldn't just be a season 1 only type show.

Well put together. Netflix isn't fucking around.

I am an extremely harsh critic and I find the show ok, perhaps slightly above average because it involves drugs and some violence.

I think I'm done with episode 6, been about a week, and I've had no interest in watching the next episode, but I will finish the series.

I mentioned the show Bloodline earlier in the thread (also a Netflix original) and there is no comparison.

There really isn't much substance in Narcos, you know the end before it begins, and Pablo is already in his downfall from basically the first episode. You're just waiting for him to get killed. The whole show so far is Pablo trying to evade being captured by police while a couple American DEA agents are on his trail. It is mildly entertaining but not that exciting.

you must have a boring life. Not being able to enjoy anything because your so critical of everything. you must miss out on so many good things.

No shit. Of course hes going to be killed. But its the enjoyment you get out of the series. The wonder, the acting, the art, the journey.

i agree to some extent. the show did kind of 'blow its load' in the first 3 episodes.

its still a good show, but the first episodes really draw you in, and then the rest are a tad repetitive(again, not saying its bad)

I also agree, plus I know all this history, so for me nothing is a true surprise. The only person I haven't studied at length is Gacha. I think it's interesting they don't put Griselda blanco in that show because that was  escobars connection.

Arguably my favorite series of all-time. It's definitely on the short list. There's never a dull episode. The production, acting & writing is all elite, top tier stuff.

I've loved every season and can't wait for the next one.

:baseballhandshake:

Make sure you start with "Narcos" season 1 and not "Narcos Mexico" season 1. The first two seasons of Narcos is centered on the story of Pablo Escobar and the Medellin Cartel. Then season 3 on the Cali Cartel.

Narcos Mexico is equally amazing but you gotta watch the first three seasons of "Narcos" before you move onto "Narcos Mexico". Strangely they're the own separate things in Netflix so it would be easy for one to get confused and start with Narcos Mexico, which would lead that viewer to skipping the entire three season chapter of the Colombian cartels.

definitely have to watch them in order

what's insane is that looking back you can understand the sorts of things traffickers used to get away with bc technology was poor, information was a fraction of what it is today, cultural shifts/connections/disconnections

i feel like one of these days traffickers are going to be using spacecraft to make deliveries, deliver all 2000 tonnes in one shot, or whatever payloads they can carry

Narcos seems absolutely realistic to me, i didn't realize it was 5 years old

Show sucks. Imagine if someone real actually produced it instead of shitflix. Like if HBO did some kinda narco Sopranos. You people are unbelievable.
