How often do you dream? POLL

How often do you all dream? Personally, since 2 years ago when I had natural OBE's while trying to fall asleep, I began research into the field of 'astral projection', or some would call it 'sleep state meditation', and after doing so, I have programmed myself to have very realistic dreams every single night, naturally.
Whether im drinking, smoking weed, or sober.

I'm sure I dream every night but I only have really vivid & lucid ones a few times a week.

Every time I actually sleep. Sometimes I'm only able to enter a state that's somewhere between consciousness and sleep. Neither fully awake or fully asleep.
I on average have multiple dreams a night, because I wake up a lot. Sometimes they just pick back up where they left off, but usually once I wake up and go back to sleep, it's a whole new dream.

Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear. I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear. You can't wake up, this is not a dream. I often enter that space between conciousness and sleep. It seems to last around an hour before I actually completely lose conciousness and enter sleep, though....I still am concious, just in full dream state.
Like the other day I layed down for sleep at 4pm and I quickly entered a place where my thoughts became so real, like a dream, but I was concious of my body laying down in pure sedation. I was disturbed by a member of the house coming to my door and calling my name a couple of times. It was then 5pm. Then I layed back down for sleep and went to the same state, was disturbed at 6pm.
Fucking cock sucking dogs woke me up that time.

I've tried to get into astral projection by laying completely comfortable on my back and pretending I'm essentially in a elevator going up and down while relaxing my body / mind to the point that I can make the transition. I don't have much luck or I usually experience a buzzing / humming sensation that causes me to awake quite startled (almost like a jolt of electricity)
I'm curious about using a dream machine

I wish mine only lasted an hour. I've spent many entire nights in that state (or at least the vast majority of them). Only to have to get up and go to work on what my body was telling me was only an hour or two worth of sleep. I'm on a medication now where it really doesn't happen much. Still does though, once or twice a month.

Isnt that buzzing sensation interesting??? It is almost like a 'fear', but ive always wondered....if you could face that fear...overcome that fear...then that is releasing from your body?

It's rather foreign and just kind of gradually happens then at some point I become aware of the sensation and I snap right out of it awake.
What methods do you use for an OBE?

Fuck, I never get that buzzing sensation as I fall asleep anymore. That only happened 2 years ago, which triggered me to get into sleep meditation, now that I have practiced I naturally have lucid dreams every time I fall asleep.
My dreams are so fucking realistic Sometimes I just feel like going to fucking sleep to go on a random adventure.
Ah this vodka is starting to kick in now.......uuugghhh...ill dream well tonight

Just about every time. I've gone through periods of my life with almost zero dream recall but the last couple years I've been making a conscious effort every morning to spend some time recapping them every morning as soon as I wake up. For a while I kept a dream journal, but now I just try to recall them in my mind immediately upon waking.
I still have never had a lucid dream except for a couple I had as a kid.

Yeah I get this a lot. Shit these days I'm a full blown insomniac, and I'm rarely ever just knocked the fuck out. I'm always in that in between mode where dreams are prevalent.

That's always nice to do. I like to do it when I wake up too but usually I end up having to get up and go to the bathroom first and then I end up getting distracted from it.

Its kinda scary when you're body shuts down but you're mind is still awake and you hear some strange sounds and body feels tingly. I try to relax and let go and see how far I can take it but nothing ever happens I end up just waking up fully

You really should redo this poll and ask a question about daily use opf recreational doses of weed, alcohol, benzos and antidepressant use.
Those are known dreamkillers.
I dream every time I sleep multiple times a night. If I press the 9 minute snooze button 10x cause of sleepiness I have 10 additional dreams and often several pick up where the former left off. Snoozing is great for getting sleep paralysis.
THIS IS HOW HUMANS SHOULD BE. You're supposed to remember your dreams, even if only a fleeting moment after waking.

It's more of a curse really. I'd prefer to not dream. 9 out of 10 times my dreams are nightmares. Have been since my brother was murdered. I've grown a bit used to them, so they don't suck as bad. It used to be I'd carry the trauma of that nightmare with me all day long. I mean I answered honestly, every day I pretty much have memorable/realistic dreams. In the beginning, I felt that fear and pain as if it were really happening and would just carry it over into the day. Completely life altering traumas, that shit is just kinda hard to wake up and go "it was only a dream" and then just be fine like it never happened.
After years of it I became accustomed to it. I feel the fear/pain in the dream, but it rarely carries over into the waking world anymore. So I got a few years of reprieve. Then I developed sleep paralysis. Which is like 100x worse than a nightmare. Mostly because you know you aren't asleep, yet feel like you're in a Saw movie or something. That level of intensity of fear and you can't do anything about it.
