Bad luck with vendor rye berries. Anyone else same experience?

First off, wanna say I'm not trashing the vendor. The customer service has been great as well as the bulk substrate. However, I cannot get their rye to colonize and was wondering if anyone else has had same issue.
3 weeks ago I tried out 12 1lb bags and after 11 days of nothing the vendor agreed to ship me 12 more pounds on top of a second 12 lb order I made. I sort of figured that maybe the syringes I used were bad since they were 3 months old. I've used syringes that were older with no problems before but I try to use them right away most times. Along with the second order I made, I purchased another 5 syringes from a vendor. I used 1 syringe per 6 bags. My method of inoculation was to separate the gussets of the bag to allow for gas exchange. I then cleaned the inoculation site as well as the needle. When shooting the bag, I lifted the injection site off the berries just enough so when I stabbed it with the needle, it wouldn't penetrate into the berries. When through the site, I squirted roughly 1.75cc of spore juice into the bag and then sat the bag upright. I did not shake or mix the berries. With my extra syringe I decided to give the original 12 I purchased another shot of spores just in case I could get some results. 8 days later I still have no results. I haven't been messing with them at all, I just let them sit there. The temperature is a constant 77 degrees. I have some just chillin on the shelf in a closet and some sitting in a sealed bin in total darkness. Did it that way just to see if there was different between light and dark growth times.
Do berries just take longer then bird seed? Did I do something wrong? I've pressure cooked my own wbs for years and have always had some signs of growth within 3-4 days. Feels like I'm out $175 and 3 weeks of time so far.

Buy rye and sterilize it yourself , sounds like you have a PC. If you've been doing this for years then you would know none of us advocate purchasing anything, especially not spawn that has a small window for colonization and can be royally fucked up in many ways.
They're probably not doing something right or sending you old jars that they PCed two weeks ago. Buy Rye, Oats, WBS, prep and succeed

I don't mind the pressure cooking process, I've just been working 65-70 hours, 7 days a week for the last 3-4 months and I'm having trouble finding the time. I was hoping to trade money for time in this case.
I did start soaking some seed before I left for work this morning since I'm pretty much considering these a loss. Lesson learned I guess.

Only being enforced because I had a negative experience about a sponsored vendor? Doing a search of the vendor brings up 1,000s of results

Should not name or link vendors in this forum. Plrase remove the name of the sponsor you got your spores from.

In cult you can't mention them but their are sections on the shroomery where you can and some of those guys run an account for the store.
Edit it out please, it has nothing to do with negativity. These vendors sell spores for microscopic use only, not cultivation. You can get these guys (and yourself) in trouble.

I did edit it out immediately, I wasn't aware of that rule since I tried searching for my answer beforehand and saw tons of posts relating to that vendor
