I like guns. I like my *right* to own guns as an American, but I really don't care that Wal-Mart is no longer carrying AR-15's and such. There are plenty of other places I'd rather go to buy a rifle/gun. It may be a political move, it may not. How would I ever know the truth?
The CVS thing had me thinking also "who the hell goes to CVS for cigarettes anyway?" That was a pretty easy move for them. They probably weren't selling ANY cigarettes so they designed a way to make it look like they were taking a stand or something. Banning guns isn't going to solve anything.

Here' it shows that AUS just bought guns from the people
so people that didn't really want guns sold them to be destroyed rather then selling them to a rando
australia didnt just buy the guns back from people, they placed heavy restrictions on ownership, banned certain types of guns and set a mandatory buyback, in order to not become a criminal and be subjected to prison time you had to surrender your weapons
so, even the people that wanted to keep their guns were forced to sell them to the government to be destroyed or they would face criminal prosecution
now, what did that do for australia?
http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/statistics-reveal-surge-in-crime-across-country-with-homicide-assault-public-order-gun-and-drug-offences-up-in-queensland/story-fnihsrf2-1226840030531
and as crazy as it sounds, it did the same for england
thankfully, the US government cannot ban guns

Yeah I'm sure Walmart is in Liberal hands, they are super fair with their employees
Liberals can't be an unfair employer? Seems narrow minded.
Of course its narrowminded, because its true:
http://www.politicususa.com/2013/12/23/walmart-busted-forcing-employees-political-contributions-republicans.html
Walmart not just heavily sponsors the republican party, it tries to blackmail its employees to do the same.
really, so it was force? did they deduct it from people's paychecks without their consent? did they hold people down and take the money from their wallets? did they use one of their guns to take the money? how exactly were walmart employees forced to donate money to political action committees?
oh, they offered $2 to charity for each $1 donated to the PAC
Quote:
FEC commissioners are deadlocked on whether the practice is illegal or not, but Walmart’s practice of offering 2 to 1 charity donations in exchange for employee donations has caused current and former FEC commissioners to call the practice illegal and over the line.
but hey, employees were forced to donate 50% of that to democrats, why arent we hearing about that? I mean are the democrats really so butthurt that all the money didnt go to them? do you not understand how these PACs work? the employees have a choice as to which fund they'd like to contribute and whether or not they would like to contribute, so, if they dont want to contribute to the election funds of either party, they dont have to

You're grouping conservative and liberal employers into 2 groups.
Apparently, liberals can't be unfair employers. Do you not understand what you said yourself?

I didnt say progressive employers can't be complete Scrooges, I just noted on a trend that its generally the more conservative ones who manifest in such a way.
A definition of progressiveness and conservatism is that the former tend to favor the people over capital, and the latter capital over the people.
That of course is up for debate so, sure.

If we could go back to the days where 200 could get you a Thompson SMG regardless of circumstances, I'd be a happy man.

.22s are fine. No one's using them for defense. They're just a cheap plinking round. I love firing off an entire magazine rapid fire, but paying around 4 or 5 dollars to do it makes me not do it. On a .22 it probably doesn't break the dollar mark. Hell with the right purchase it probably doesn't even break the half-dollar mark.

those bricks arent what they used to be, they're around 300 rounds as opposed to 550 rounds which used to cost $11 a few years ago, the ammo hoarders are buying them up to resell for much higher prices like $50 a brick.
