Casing contam (grey spots) rescue solution?

My friend has a casing, were about 15% of the top is covered with white mycelium were are also already some very small pins visible. (humidity was 100% temp=77, in fruiting chamber for 7 days) Now he discoverd a few grey colored (mycelium?)-spots (arround a half inch in size) some directly next to the bright white mycelium. Is this cobweb? or maybe another contamination? And the most important question: Is were any way to rescue that casing? (Its his first attempt, and he dont want it to throw it away) I read some stuff on shroomery, but didnt found a good answer. Could spraying the surface with h2o2 solution be a way to resuce the casing? (If so, how strong should it be?) Or can he still eat the shrooms from that contaminated casing? Addition: Like i said, the white bright mycelum poked through the top layer only on about 15% of the surface. The more greyish looking "mycelium" mostly grows around those bright white spots. Is it possible, that it could be normal mycelium, but look a bit different, because its younger?

hanky: Yes, you are right, its very probably not cobweb, because cobweb should grow incredible fast, from what i read.
I just found a pic of a casing (posted in Mushroom Cultivation) that looked similar to my friends (exept that much more mycel is visible in this pic)
 (click picture for enlarging it) Could this be contamination, or is this 2 color mycel normal for casings?

Looking at the pic above, I think I see some knots forming in the 'grey' area. If so, that's a sure sign things are OK. Some shades of grey are OK, just monitor it for changes. What usually happens with a true contamination situation is the suspect grey areas will become larger grey areas. . .strange or peculiar areas that get larger is a sure sign something is wrong. Keep on watching;

And if it does show signs of being a contaminant, it's game over if it's of any appreciable size.
