2-5 depending on environment. You should mist when they're dry and not before. Don't fan without misting.
When verm is dry it looks like sand, when it's wet it glitters like small rocks.

I guess you're talking about a SGFC, set it up right and forget about fanning, mist when it looks dry not some set number per day!

yeah, glistening moisture or tiny beads of water on the cake. its pretty easy to tell when they're not glistening. dont overdo it each time either, just a light mist to so the cakes glisten nicely, but dont look drenched or have small pools of water on them.
trip; because a properly setup sgfc has so much fae even the fanning after the mist isnt really needed, its just to jumpstart evaporation which happens soon enough anyway with hundreds of holes in the chamber.

if you're doing mono's and mist them you should fan it out afterwards, notice I say properly set up sgfc's, not just any sgfc sat in a closet.
sgfcs have such great fae we need to mist several times a day, fanning would just remove much of the moisture in the air and make your mist or the water on your cakes from the prev. mist evaporate faster.

you could try it but I see why you wouldnt care to pull out the ole sgfc.
to refer to OP in a way we can agree on then, there's no point in just fanning your sgfc whenever you think of it. if you feel like fanning do it after misting. OK?

Good move taking it out of the closet. The air flow should start to get better.

I don't fan anything ever. I don't run a fan, I don't fan with the lid and I'm not a fan of fanning. Closest I get to fanning is opening the lid to mist.

Yeah but should you be telling a new member who hasn't even gotten his pins not to fan even though he doesn't fully understand why he fans in the first place?

I'm not telling anyone to do or not do anything. I'm just saying I don't fan anything ever. Personally I think its completely unecessary and too often you see people fanning far more than they should.
