Where to start?

Hello everyone. Growing up I was never really an outdoors person or did any of those activities. Neither did anyone I knew at the time. I don't really know much, if anything about survival, hunting, fishing, backpacking, & so on. The only thing I've ever done that is an outdoor activity is fishing. I don't even know how to prepare a fish for cooking. I want to learn how to do these things but where do I start & how do I learn? Trial & error? Books/guides? I want to start having real adventures.
Any replies, advice, anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks yall. Have a good day.

youtube has everything you need while you are chillin at home. I suggest just going on day hikes to start, take a drive to a nice, well-established trail and enjoy the day hiking a good amount of miles. Just enjoy it! Just feel the peace that being outside and moving brings. It's what you're made to do.
When you start camping you should go to a safe campground, where you can 'car camp' (in case of emergency you can sleep in it...you can put a lot more stuff in your car than a backpack)...
Honestly it all comes natural the more time you spend outside. Your body and mind adapts and you learn to improvise and read the land. Just stay focused, have a sense of wonder, and go for it.

yeah man.. you can google campsites near me. or day hikes near me and a pluthera of stuff will come about.
the gear will follow... the more you spend out there the more you will know what you can improvise with, or what is a necessity. car camping after a day hike is awesome place to start.
dont be intimidated man. the outdoors are way better than watching tv.

your putting too much thought into this OP, just grab a book bag and bring water and maybe. a meal and what ever supplies u got.... Then go to a nice hiking trail and spend the day. Smoking weed before the hike makes it better imo
I like taking my mountain bike to the local trails here. Living by the mountains is a bonus too
