Switching to an antidepressant?

Hi alll,
I am considering taking an antidepressant (Prozac) for the upcoming school year to give me a "boost". Have not taking this for 2 years and on and off since i was about 14.
reasons why i want to take it... I have had a 6 or 7 some what light trips on mushrooms and lsd over the past year and my brain feels some what scattered from it all. To be more social and happier mood constantly through out the day. A drug to take constantly not called cannabis.
fears… smoking/drinking to much bud will decrease or alter the effects/results I'm looking for.
What do you guys think? Does anyone recommend antidepressants? Has anyone taken them? Its hard for me to remember what the effects are like because I have not taken them constantly or sober for years now.

I treat my depression and back problems with cannabis now. I used to take Zoloft and it made me a zombie. So did Paxil and trazodone. The Paxil made me slow and zombie like, the Zoloft made me speedy but still no emotions, and the trazodone just knocked me the fuck out. I mean if you like not feeling anything or having any emotions or whatever then by all means go for it. Just remember the first month is weird but it does get slightly better. If you do go back on them and decide to quit again watch out for the brain zaps

NO! I don't recommend antidepressants, especially prozac. Most antidepressants actually cause more severe depression and a side effect is literally "suicidal thoughts". Be careful man, it's your body so do what you do but I'd try to find a more natural alternative. Tumeric is something I've heard combats depression

I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

I know it seems harder but you'll achieve way better results. Trust me, I've been there.

Happy to see this, that stuff will wreck your brain in the end. Not worth it.

I just got back on anti-depressants recently due to a legitimate fear of hurting someone because I hate my job but I can't get away from it right now. (major run on sentence, sorry grammar nazis)
And I got to say, I remember why I hate this shit. Your problems don't go away. Your depression, anxiety, anger, whatever negative shit, doesn't go away. It just numbs them to the point that you know you have emotion but you just can't actually feel emotion. And it makes it so much harder to actually deal with your problems.
So unless you seriously feel like you're going to kill yourself or someone else and have exhausted all other options - stay the hell away from them.
Trust that I won't be on these for any longer than I have to be. (which, I guarantee, I will be done with them far sooner than any one of my doctors will recommend.)

I took 3-4 antidepressant's and all made me acutely much worse, and I had no interest in using the for more then a few days after how horrible they all made me feel - so no wouldn't recommend them. people say you need to take them much longer to feel relief but I was literally hallucinating and sweating my balls off while on them and it was awful.

yeah it was awful. floor spinning and swirling and complete physical hallucinations like bugs crawling on me that weren't there, etc. horrible. affects everyone differently and they affect me very poorly.
