Cheers maynardjameskeenan. No blue bruising on these. Are there any inactive lookalikes to Psilocybe Semilanceata?

Do you have any gill shots? after a second look I think they might be Mycena, did you make a spore print?

Sorry, no spore print just what's in the pics The stems are not of the texture of typical psilocybes. Perhaps it is a kind of Mycena. Very robust stems. Might have to grab some more specimens next season for a closer look. Cheers

I'm not saying you have these look alike species, just some photos for you to compare. Though they do look like psilocybe Semilanceata they also look a lot like Mycena epipterygia var. lignicola...

Mycena sounds like a good fit for these. They do look similar to the pics. The stems don't look or feel like that of a Psilocybe or Pans I've found. Cheers all

They could be Mycena that have been parasitised by another fungus. I'm not sure of its name but A. muscaria often get attacked and go melty and Brown like these mushrooms seem to have done.
They don't look like M. epipterygia to me. They look like this>>http://mushroomobserver.org/97878?q=2dITI

I've seen Mycena epipterygia caps become dark brown and sticky while in wet conditions...
I live in Colorado, so other states fungi may dissimilar from what I'm used too, out here i have people bring me conocybe lactea (which in wet conditions the caps also become brown and sticky) or some mycena species, liberty caps do not grow in Colorado, so I only see the look alike species...which is why I never gave an answer on what they were, simply suggested some look alike species to compare...
Those really do look very similar to liberty caps, but so do a few other species, I would do a thorough review of look alikes known in your area just to be sure...
Karode13, what we're different about the Mycena epipterygia that were in your link?
