Mushroom Company Resume Help

Hello shroomery. I just watched a video by Back to the Roots a mushroom company that had an underlining message of being willing to ask. I would like advice on what type of resume I would need to work as a grower. I'm 21 and live in California. I found a company near me for an example of there requirements. I've never had interest in college until fungus came into my life last winter.
MAIN QUESTIONS- Does anybody have experience with what a B.S. in Biological/Agriculture sciences means? A job like this sounds exciting and worth college to me. Thanks for your help or curious replays.

A B.S., is a bachelors of science. It's a typical 4 year degree.
If I owned this company, I'd be more concerned about your knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and sanitation. In addition, its a supervisory job.
To be honest, this doesn't look like an entry level job. You probably want to work for the guy being hired to do this job.

JOB TITLE: LOCATION: SUPERVISOR: DATE OF OPENING: Summary: September 09, 2014 Grower II Madisonville, TX Armando Juarez Immediate
This is a full-time non-exempt position with benefits, requires working many weekend days and holidays. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described: Direct supervision of daily assignments and personnel to maintain proper production schedules and planning. Perform “hands on” technical duties related to the area of the facility where grower is assigned. Controlling crops. Provide leadership in relation to safety awareness and training of all subordinates. Provide input to Agriculture Manager concerning area needs and information relating to Observe and practice safety and housekeeping procedures at all times. Attend and/or conduct Safety Meetings. Perform all requirements of sanitation, GMP/HACCP standards, including hairnet where required and personal hygiene policies.
Requirements BS Degree from a 4-year college or university; or at least 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This sound more entry level. For this I would need a B.S. Is science the major or Are there majors that are in science?

Well, ask yourself if you have any of the quality and qualifications listed there. Ideally, you should.

Well, no you see when they put the "preferred" in parenthesis after biological/agricultural sciences they meant you had to at least a degree to get your foot in the door. They would prefer you have it in those particular fields. Conceivably, if you had, say an English degree, that would do it if you're just a swell, wonderful guy too great to pass up.

have you considered the degrees they are preferring you to have in order to grow mushrooms for them???
if you can get a degree in mycology that would be ideal. but you should know that such a specific degree is very limiting, especially if when you get the degree there are no openings for growing mushrooms.
