I stopped getting side pins after I started using proper liners.
I use a clear plastic drop cloth, 3-5 mil thick, you can get in paint section of hardware store for 5 bux and lines quite a few tubs

What's up cron! I guess I could put my 2 cents in as well. I found when I'm cutting my liners to leave the corners. Makes it much easier to pull them come harvest time.

For my 66qt monos I cut a large black trash bag in half and then cut it 28" long. It fits perfectly with only having to trim the corners (if you want). It will support at 4" sub.

Did it.

How does this look? I measured with a measuring tape from hole to hole [down, across the bottom and back up] for 19 inches. Measured the long way up to the holes using the same method, 27 inches. Made a duct tape template by folding layered tape. Put it over the bag [uncut] and cut it. Ended up with two layers. 2 buckets 1 bag. Fits perfect. I once I put the sub in here. It'll pe perfect and I can trim it [I shouldn't need to
*** Are these corners ok? I suppose they'll get filled in and "stick" to the substrate. and how do I clean this properly? Just alcohol/peroxide the tub and liner? Can you premix the sub in a clean bucket after it cools?
Edit: this liner is very very thin. I probably will try not to disturb it at all [I hope dunking isn't a thing I need to do]

I just need to know if one side of a trash bag is thick enough and if I need to wipe down the tub/liner and with what

One more thing. Can I mix the sub with the spawn in the bucket? I'm only using coco coir with no additives, im pretty broke and don't have much to add to it. I hope that's not an issue
